Stayed here many times before but on this occasion, my stay was ruined by firstly an “elephant” like person in the room above mine who stomped around loudly until the early hours of the night, which was then topped off by the staff who decided to use the fire exit next to my room to have a smoke and the loudest chat whilst coming in and out slamming the door each time, reported to reception who could only apologise.

Not one clean table for breakfast
Room was comfortable and well appointed, there was a cheese biscuit on the floor when we got there, this was still there when we left even though cleaners came in on 2nd day, so cleaning not up to scratch. 1st breakfast experience was so bad we cancelled 2nd day. We arrived to see one table of 4 in use and every other table was dirty, we found the least dirty one and cleared it ourselves, no teaspoons, tea plates, bread, we were there 30 mins 2 other people came in and had to clear own tables, awful experience.

A particularly helpful welcome to an early check in before heading for a function. A comfortable and clean hotel with an excellent breakfast. The only negative is that the hotel, which I have been using for the last 5 years, is showing signs of age - probably ready for an. overhaul. Still very recommendable.

Worst night sleep I’ve ever experienced!
On arrival and after booking a double bed, we were informed that only single beds were available, eventually and after complaining we were put in an accessible room with double bed! Reception staff were not polite and didn’t even tell us where the room was! Extremely noisy room, fire alarm went off at 1:30am with lots of noise for the following 30 mins, room above constantly walking around and banging. Took ages to find a member of staff, informed them about alarm and noise but seamed nothing was done, noise above restarted at 6am! In all, one of the worst nights sleep I’ve ever experienced at a hotel, staff didn’t seam to give a damn? Holiday inns are generally ok but would not stay at this particular hotel again, especially after this experience.

My experience was terrible. They were not clean. They were not nice. They were not accommodating. The whole experience was terrible and I would never look back. They were not helpful when I needed help all in all it was just a very bad experience. They were rude.
