I really wanted to give this place a good review. Every single staff member was so warm and welcoming, and we truly felt like guests there. The lobby is clean, the rooms were as clean as they could be (minus some hairs on the sink but really nbd).
The bed was really uncomfortable, super hard. I woke up several times throughout the night with a fully sore body due to the bed. The pillows were not comfortable either but not the worst.
We had a connecting door to the room to the left of ours, and we could hear our neighbors very loudly. Thankfully the AC unit in our room was so loud that whenever it was on it would drown out their voices.
The TV was also small and only played DirectTV which is whatever, honestly I don’t go to hotels for TVs but thought it was worth mentioning.
The water for the tub doesn’t get very hot, and the tub started draining out of nowhere while I was mid-bath. No matter which way I flipped the drain switch, it kept draining.
We were also situated by the pool, and the bright white lights filtered underneath our curtain, so the room wasn’t very dark at night.
Nothing is really updated which is fine, the chair in the room is really comfy and again everything seemed really clean and smelled nice. The property is cool, there’s a nice field and hill and some picnic tables out back, and you are surrounded by the Smokies. The motel is also conveniently located.
