Upon arrival the staff informed us we were the first guests at this villa since the management co. took it over and asked for our patience & feedback. The villa itself is very nice, but we did have feedback. Fortunately staff were excellent, did their best to assist. While the the villa is not too far from Old City (closer to the Zoo / Doi Suthep Temple) it's set back from the main road, hard for taxi drivers to find. Maps on hotel vendor websites are *not* accurate - enter GPS coordinates 18° 49' 06.6", 98° 57' 18.3" into Google Maps for true location. If the villa offered the option of a car/driver who knew the property, this would greatly help. Basic information about the villa (its surroundings, wifi password, kitchen supplies, etc.) in a booklet would have helped a lot. We needed a cot for our baby, they did not yet have one. The villa has 3 buildings only a few steps from each other, but if walkways are not regularly mopped you get dirty feet. Having to regularly open doors between buildings also means any insects (which are unavoidable in the area) need more control. Despite such growing pains, the villa was quite pleasant, with complete privacy and lots of space, 3 bedrooms with individual baths, a large living/dining area. The pool though modestly sized was a great way to cool off in the hot season. Since most other villas in the area are in Mae Rim or similarly far from Old City, having this villa only 10-15 minutes away from town is a convenient option.
