Terrible customer service. Unfriendly front desk. Always out of "cookies". Pretty Empty front "store" falling apart room. They left towels on dirty floor in halloutside of our room! Should have been in a bag like every other hotel we've stayed at. Sanitizerc stations empty. Buffet closed and didn't announce. We had an expensive 15 minute breakfast. Never going back nor would we suggest it.

As we cleaned up the room before checking out, my friend found dried blood on the sheet of her bed on the side she didn't sleep on. The sheets clearly weren't washed before we went there.

The stay was good but the pillows were too soft and the pool was closed and we had to pay for breakfast but it was a very nice and relaxing place and we will reserve it again four stars

We were there for a convention, I had one of my employees check in. The service wasn’t up to par. We needed clean towels they only gave us 3 and there were 4 in the room. And I had to go get them. There was a black plastic back around and shoved into the fire sprinkler in the bathroom, and 2 of the lamps did not work.

I booked this hotel for my son and I last minute. Part of the reason that I chose this hotel was for the pool. When we checked in, there was a sign on the desk stating the pool was closed for renovation. It was not listed anywhere during the booking process that the pool would not be open. At that point, I would’ve found another place but I had already paid for the room. When we got to our room, the toilet wasn’t working. We then had to carry everything back downstairs to get a new room. The new room was okay, nothing spectacular, but good enough to sleep in. Overall, my son and I were pretty disappointed in the entire experience despite the woman at the front desk being very kind. I will definitely think twice about staying at another DoubleTree by Hilton the next time we are away from home.

Nice place to stay near downtown Chicago
Nice hotel about an hour drive from downtown. It is pretty convenient in a safe location. Even if you don’t go downtown there are some stuff to do in the area

We had a beautiful corner room which was very nice with two large windows. The king size bed was exceptionally comfortable!! The bathroom had a stand in shower with Crabtree and E toiletries!

I called the property because I wanted make sure the pool was available because we were on vacation and the kids wanted to swim they said yes so I booked the room, when we got there they had a sign saying pool was closed. I said something and they said well that’s not our problem. That wasn’t it my key to the room worked when we first got there but then it wouldn’t work anymore when we got back so maintenance had to come let us in which was okay but also very weird to me because they couldn’t figure it out.

The staff was not present at the front desk until having to repeatedly call, ignored by staff when asking a question such as is there any coffee when it’s 6:16 am and met with the response “it will get there when it’s there”. Have been gold members for years and were appalled with this double tree. Hotel room only came with 2 towels and 0 face clothes or any other form of towel. Trash left around the coffee area and around property grounds . Very disappointing stay here.

Hotel is off the beaten path yet close to lots of restaurants & shopping Friendly staff, room was very clean. Pool was closed so that was disappointing for my son.
