Escape to a historic 6-bedroom, 5.5 bath* estate in downtown Glen Ellyn, IL!
*Note: The 6th bedroom is the optional carriage house (please message ownership before booking if needed).
The Dibble Estate is a designated historical landmark within Glen Ellyn's historic district. It was built in 1914 in a Spanish Mediterranean style – with beautiful cream colored stucco and a classic red tile roof. Frederick Dibble purchased the property (used primarily for horses at the time) from Moses Stacey, widely considered the founding father of what was then known as "Stacy's Corner" — and now as "Glen Ellyn".
This home is built for large and/or multiple families. It's great for gathering, yet with plenty of nooks and crannies to find some alone time. The kitchen's large island is perfect for hosting and entertaining. The living room's vintage furniture, grand piano, and fireplace invite both reflection and the musically inclined. The property has a lush and spacious outdoor garden and patio area that was once featured on the cover of Better Homes & Gardens.
The Dibble Estate is undoubtedly one of the most iconic and admired homes by architects, historians, and community members in the Chicagoland area.
Again, the "Carriage House" is listed separately and can be arranged as part of the reservation; however, you must make a "booking inquiry" first in order to confirm that the Carriage House is also available during the preferred time. Pricing for the Carriage House varies on season and length of stay.
