The service was awesome and the motel staff were very friendly. One thing they couldn't do anything about was the late-night partying going on in the parking lot behind the building. Its not the motel's parking lot, but there was loud music and partying happening in that parking lot until about 4am.

The Ohio House Motel was ideal for our small business trip. Its central location allows easy access to attractions, restaurants, and markets within 15–20 minutes. Parking is reasonably priced, with in-and-out privileges—a rarity in Chicago. The recently renovated facility was clean and well-maintained. However, the double beds are quite small, comfortable for one person but cramped for two.
I have wanted to stay at this vintage motel since I was a teenager. It was everything that I wanted and right in the center of Chicago. Only thing it didn’t have was a pool in the courtyard. Bonus was the free parking because I was there 5 days. Great holiday room rate, i’m sure it will be MUCH higher in the summer. I definitely plan to stay there again if I can afford it.
I did not like that they charge you additional $40 for parking and its not included, I would have appreciated if hat information was showcased beforehand.
the property in general is good located in downtown and is nice and clean and have some parking spots way cheaper nearby.
The rooms are small but clean. Ohio motel gives a hotel vibe instead. Newly renovated. Nice staff. If i was reaching, i could complain about the lack of breakfast but i onlh needed a place to crash for the night.
I overall had a good experience. The room was clean and seemed fairly renovated. I thought the room itself had no problems, but the walls were paper thin. I could hear the TV of my next-door neighbors very clearly along with people talking loudly and yelling at night. It did not feel the safest in this regard. I am not faulting the property for this as it is on the cheaper end, and they seem to deliver good facilities. Nevertheless, I think it is important to note that the lower price may attract more chaos and a more unsafe environment.
Clean and good sized rooms for a very reasonable price. Great location too!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The people above us must have been smoking in their room cause it was coming through the People were screaming and yelling all night. They also started charging for parking & said the rate is going even higher. You can hear the traffic and people in the streets all night. The door sticks and people are slamming it shut all day/night. You can hear the others having sex all night (good for them) but the walls shouldn’t be that thin. Only good thing is the location and it is clean inside for the most part.
My third time staying here and I know I will back in the future. Love that it’s walkable to the main sites of Chicago and that it has reasonably priced on site parking.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I witnessed a person get beaten up in the alley on the north side facing the target at 3:30 in the morning by a gang of about 7. I t was very loud and violent. Also, the room next t o mine was very loud until about 3 am. Walls are thin. It was very hard to sleep with so much noise.
Overall a very good stay. The staff were great and the area is very nice. The room itself was a little too hot for my liking and I didn’t see a way to change the temperature. Cleanliness was great and would stay here again.
Not the motel's fault, but the craft service table for "Chicago Fire" set up directly outside the window of our original room at 4AM. Prior to that, nothing but slamming doors all night. The motel staff was kind and moved us when requested, but this was overall a pretty terrible stay. I am unlikely to return. If you're considering it, be aware this is a very busy area and the motel is mostly ground floor rooms. I'm trying to add pictures, but the app isn't letting me.
