Staff were helpful, amicable, friendly, and accommodating. I spent my birthday here and they gave me something as a courtesy/complimentary for the occasion which I truly appreciated. The drinks were great at the bar and the junior suite was great. The room was cold and would not change temp but eventually their engineer came and fixed the issue in 5 min. Only real complaint was that I had asked valet to keep my car close as I was going to leave for dinner soon, he said he would keep it out front. I came down about 10 minutes after and they were pulling away with my car, no call to the room or any communication to ensure I was still coming down or not or at least tell me they were going to park it. They didn’t count it as an in and out thankfully an I had to wait a bit for my car to come when needed but otherwise the stay was wonderful and I would return.

Great location. I felt very safe in the building. The staff was very accomodating and gracious. The "spa" suites need a MAJOR overhaul. Chipped paint in the tub in one room and chipped paint all over the shower ceiling in the other. Definately not worthy of the $200 plus nightly asking price. Stains all over the velvet sofa in the room as well. Not cute at all.

The location was excellent - right by red line, very close of Magnificent Mile, Riverwalk, shopping and dining options were endless. The property was clean. I just wished the view was better. We checked in at around 1pm and they were very kind to let us in early. The hotel seemed to be quiet and not so crowded and we got a room with few things broken (bathroom handle door, no sheer curtains, shower head was wonky) and a horrible view to the building next door with almost no street view. We stayed for 4 nights so it would have been nice to get a room with better view, but we were too tired when we got to the hotel to even complain. The service was standard. Overall, the hotel was very acceptable and I would recommend it.

This was my first time staying at the Royal Sonesta, and was very impressed. From check-in to check-out was great, we were greeted with a bottle of wine and Spiro was great with our luggage, food recommendations, and conversation. Our room was remarkable with our suite having a huge jacuzzi only added to the fabulous service. We were very pleased.
