The first floor offers a spacious lounge with a dining area and a beautifully designed shower room. The historic building has recently been refurbished.

The Governor's House is an annexe to The Tanyard - built as the village Workhouse in 1834. It is situated in a large private courtyard just off one of the village's high-streets making it centrally located, serenely tucked away.
The Governor's house includes private parking in an off-street, private driveway, very helpful in this popular tourist village.
Access to the courtyard garden and The Governor's House is private without having to pass through any shared spaces.
A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your doorstep every day at a time of your choosing. This includes granola, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, jam and butter as standard but we will happily adapt to your dietary requirements and preferences- just let us know.
The suite includes a Grind coffee machine and kettle with complimentary coffee pods and a selection of quality teas. A mini bar is stocked is beers, wines and soft drinks for your enjoyment. A price list is available on arrival.
Wireless broadband is included, as well as smart TV with Netflix and Disney plus subscriptions as well as all catch-up applications and live terrestrial television. A digital radio is available in the bedroom.
The Tanyard is also home to a jewellery studio (located on the ground floor of The Governor's House) and our own shop which sells British made homewares, art and gifts. We are yards from a number of traditional English pubs, restaurants, local bakery, shops and cafes - and a 3 minute walk from Lacock Abbey.
Please note that the suite is located on the 1st and 2nd floors with the bathroom and living room on the first floor and bedroom on the second.
