This hotel is great for a night before/after heading out on a cruise. It is only a few minutes walk from the train station, close to fabulous restaurants, shopping and across the road from the sea. The front desk staff were very friendly.

Good: The location is very convenient for cruise goers and a nice evening walk by the waterfront. There was some attempt at renovating the hotel. The breakfast staff were nice. The breakfast itself was meh. Not awful, but nothing great. Bad/Awful: There were 2 lizards in our room crawling up the walls and ceiling at night. The AC was extremely weak especially for the level of heat in Italy. Lastly, we booked a 2 bedroom, 1 living room place for 5 people. We got a 1 bedroom with 5 beds shoved into it. If we wanted a hostel setting, we'd book for that. This is not what we paid for. When we told the front desk all these issues, they did not care and were not helpful. They told us all rooms were booked and couldn't move us, but when we checked online, there were still options available. Plus, they have the room keys hanging behind the front desk, in plain view of everyone to see, and there were still half the keys hanging there indicating there were lots of rooms still available. I will not be returning to this hotel and would not recommend it to others unless desperate.

The location of the hotel was good. The bedding was clean. But things we did not like: AC didn’t work well, the door to the balcony was broken, and the water pressure was intense & got everywhere in the bathroom, you needed to mop the floor afterwards.

I got sent an email from the hotel to check in online, which we did at the airport before flying, requiring a scan of all 13 of our passports, yet, when we got to the hotel 12 hours later, it still took them close to an hour to check us in with a front desk guy that seemed to have no idea what he was doing and very little people skills and he insisted on taking all of our passports and keeping them for the night, despite the fact that i already scanned all of them in prior to getting there. Not sure what the point of wasting 30 minutes at the airport doing that was. Overall, i didnt feel like the staff were very helpful, even when just trying to get water from their dated vending machine downstairs, whicj only accepted couns and the front desk guy was annoyed with having to break a bill for me to get water.

Very convenient for a 1night stay before a cruise but amenities are lacking. They need to upgrade their air conditioners as it is difficult to get the room cold enough during the summer heat.

Front desk not very friendly or helpful. Breakfast was good. Saw small bug crawling in bathroom. Room was not prepared as we requested with bed apart. It was in reservation comments. Very old school hotel. Door Key with huge key fob. Had to jimmy key around to get the door unlocked.

Good location for walking Civitavecchia. Close to the train and bus station. A bit of a hike to the cruise terminal (although easy to take the bus). Overall nice place although our AC didn’t work.
