I requested a room with full size refrigerator in kitchen and king size bed. When I got there they did not have that room available. I asked for a refund and left. They should not take the reservation if they can not deliver.
Staff could not Open the room that was reserved , it was locked . Placed in another lower level room from what was booked . Room was not really clean , no coffee maker , not enough towels in room . Checked out super early to keep on traveling west . I don’t see us booking here again .
I booked a room through Expedia. Upon arrival, the staff claimed I was not registered. Then was told I was called on my phone to confirm. No calls were listed on my recent call list, voice mail, text messages or email. I was given a room. Upon checkout, no receipt was given. I was told I would hear from Expedia, claiming I was still not registered in their system.
The first half dozen perfumes assaulted me before even making it into the lobby. Second half dozen were just as offensive just walking to the room. No wonder they told us to walk around the building outside. Carpets were hideously worn and stained. Took 7 tried for the room key to work. Even though the room was just cleaned when we arrived the sheets were stained and pillows were yellow. Gladly we had sleeping bags. I've stayed in barracks that were better maintained, and cleaner. A nice personal touch was the previous renter's hair left for us on the shower wall. The outer pane of the window had a hole the size of a dinner plate in it. Water stains covered the ceiling and the only thing the heater was good for was more bad smells. Microwave and fridge were clean, but also probably installed no more than a month or two prior.
The staff was pleasant and friendly but the hotel was not up to par. Room was clean but needed TLC , the floors were nice with vinyl hardwood so that was a plus( I don’t like carpet in hotels!), most areas were in process of some type of either demolition or construction ( really couldn’t tell) it was non smoking but smelled of smoke in the halls, which wafted into our room. The entry’s were not locked so anyone could walk around. No hair dryer, there was a coffee pot but no coffee and supplies, the smallest bars of soap I’ve ever seen and no shampoo. Even tho the staff was sweet and friendly we would not stay here again unless major changes were made!
When I booked this place I knew that it was a low budget place and was not expecting 5 stars but still… this place is run down and SO DIRTY. I don’t care about how old it is- but there no excuse for filthy rooms. Since the hotels in the area were booked (including this place) I made do with a package of Clorox wipes and did not touch much of anything. I could not use the shower (mold and mildew and I’m not sure what was on the tub mat) I had to throw out a pair of socks because they were darn near black on the bottom because the floor was dirty and sticky. Did not go near the kitchenette (everything was streaky like it was wiped down with a greasy rag and the fridge had old spills in it) the back wall had old spatters. there were no bed bugs at least. But I did not dare get under the covers (glad I had some blankets with me or else I would have had to run to Walmart for some cheap ones) overall- gross. I’ve stayed at budget places that aren’t up to date before but they were CLEAN. This was not one of those places. Not worth the money at all.

Wouldn’t recommend a smoking room
We unfortunately had to purchase a smoking room but it’s wasn’t a terrible hotel room. Bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the room smelled more like marijuana then cigarette smoke. It served its purpose for a one night stay while on the road
I was very happy the room was large comfy had a full size frig which is just what I requested. They have done a great job will stay again in studio 6.

I really liked the person who checked me into Studio 6 Clarion. Her name was Kayla. Kayla had the friendliest voice. She knew her job and was very efficient but Kayla made you feel welcome and you knew that she would be happy to help you if you had any problems.

Works if you're not picky
I had never heard of Studio 6 and didn't realize it was part of the Motel 6 brand. Kayla was welcoming and friendly. The room was as pictured, clean and recently renovated. Nicely appointed with a kitchen for an extended stay. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby and close to the interstate. The building has an unkempt appearance and an unpleasant smell in the corridors. It seems this chain attracts a type of low budget clientele.
It was farther from Punxutawny than we wanted, but were pleasantly surprised with our room. Freshly re-finished with new flooring and appliances, it was very nice. The staff was excellent. The restaurant was highly recommended by the staff and had great reviews, but honestly, it was so-so. The area had other reasonable dining options.
We stayed in a newly renovated room with a kitchenette. For the price we paid it was well worth it.
There is a Walmart right across the street so you are able to buy food and supplies and have dinner in your room - which furthers your savings (by not having to go out to eat)
Excellent location very near excellent restaurants

Terrible Experience
We decided to stay here on a whim traveling home late, and really should’ve just went for the Hampton Inn across the street. We booked for the studio 6 portion of the hotel which is supposed to be nicer and specifically asked for non smoking at the desk. When we got to the room it had multiple cigarette ash trays in it and was clearly a smoking room. The hotel was loud during the night and the bathroom had no soap stocked for a shower the next morning! The floors felt sticky and the beds were very small. Overall, pretty poor experience even for a budget hotel.
