Bar gets 5 stars! Lodging gets 1. Drink here, don’t sleep here.
It had an old hostel vibe minus the quaintness. Walls were so thin we could hear our neighbor both pee and snore all night. The bar is in the guesthouse so plan to be up until 2:30/3am. If you can’t beat them, join them.
We will not be returning.
Had probably the best stay here of our trip to Ireland so far. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. There were traditional singers in the bar which made for a really lovely evening and everyone in there talked to each other. Very sociable and fun. The evening meal was of great quality at a reasonable price and breakfast was huge. Would definitely recommend
If you want a real Irish experience this is the place to be. The town is so small, and this pub and inn is the highlight of the town. The views of the water are so beautiful. The staff were all very nice. We had dinner in the pub and the owner introduced himself. You really felt welcome. Many people came in that knew each other. The room was very basic, nothing fancy. Beds were comfortable, clean and we all slept great. I could have easily stayed a few days there if I had the time. The roads are the normal one lane style, so be extra cautious driving out there as the locals can navigate those corners at high speeds.
Fine for a one night stay, nice enough room attached to a pub which was very busy and had music in the evening so don't expect a quiet night. To be fair the music stopped quite early, around 10:30. Food was ok, nothing special and the weather meant we couldn't really enjoy the views which must be fantastic on a fine day!
The ratings misrepresent this property which is very basic. Our dinner was terrible we had to wait 45 minutes to be served one course and my husband was very ill after his burger. To make it worse the bill presented was for 2 burgers and 1 fish and chips when there were only 2 of us. Can nit recommend.

Nice view of the place. The restaurant on the property was really good!
Nice guesthouse. Friendly owner. Lovely view from room. Fantastic breakfast but awful evening meal. Pillows like rocks and no tv in room. Was super quiet despite there being music downstairs though.
View was fantastic. Food was excellent. Live music was so much fun.

Cute town, Irish experience
Room wasn’t terribly clean, but acceptable. It’s a beautiful drive to Cloghane, but be aware there is pretty much nothing else in this small town. As far as an authentic Irish experience, it delivers!
The description of the property makes it sound like it's a golf resort and spa. It's really a small hotel as part of a bar right downtown. The building was very cute, and convenient with parking in the back. Either we were too tired to notice, or the bar sounds and music didn't distract us too much. The room was a little dingy, but a good size with plenty of space for 3 people and luggage.
The staff were nice; however, when we had issues with the radiator, they said they were getting someone to come look, but no one ever showed up. There was also a blown outlet with a burnt powerstrip and extension cord plugged in.
