I drove down after work from Philly because I had to take my sister to the hospital in the morning for surgery. I arrived with my 2 children around 9:45. When I arrived I stood at check in for about 10 mins before someone arrived to check me in even tho I called ahead of time to let them know I would be checking in late. When I got off the elevator on my floor it smelled like backed up plumbing. When I got to my room it smelled like vomit and my bedding was dirty. I called down and told them that I was on my way to get clean bedding. When I came down I waited again as there was no one at the front desk. I had to clean the bathroom as that was dirty as well. Thankfully I brought cleaning supplies. The security lock on the door was broken. This concerned me because my room was right across from a stairwell and exit. I had to barricade myself in the room. The WiFi had a very weak signal and I had to connect my Roku stick to my cellphone hotspot. The air in the room was uncomfortably cold for my children but could not be adjusted. I was told at check in that breakfast was from 6:30- 9:30. After checking in late, and cleaning the room I didn't get to sleep until almost midnight. My sister had to be at the hospital by 5:00. I took her and was back at the room by 6am. I was exhausted so I went back to sleep but got up and went downstairs at 9:15 to get food before it closed. When I got there everything was put away and the woman cleaning said breakfast was over.

Front desk was pleasant. Hotel smelled musty and like weed throughout. AC not working in the hallways and windows open. Room not updated and dirty. Area was convenient and close to where I needed to be. Area was a little sketchy with people standing and staying in their cars throuout the night. Certainly was not worth the menu spent to be there.

Fair for price. Neighbourhood is not great but this specific block is newly built re fast food, sit down restos, stores and gas. Staff aren't well trained but they are nice. Hotel building itself is not old but is getting worn. Has a 'feel' of mgnt skimping on staff, etc. Breakfast was bare bones but we got a good price. Water (in our washroom) turned off, briefly, on two occasions. On last night, our door key mechanism failed (so technician was called). Noisy at night re various other guests. Overall, the feel was a lower end experience. Having said that, building is pretty modern and well-kept structurally, it appears. Presents well. As said, we got a v good rate.

Don't stay here. Unless you want to stay in a poorly cleaned, mildew smelling room with rusty fixtures and old bathtub. Why this hotel is open is beyond me. There are easy access food options around though.

This place was just so dirty. The communal spaces were stained and messy, but it was the room that was really gross. It looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. There was trash under the dresser, someone’s dirty sock on the side of the bed, and toenail clippings and other detritus all over the carpet. We kept our shoes on because we didn’t want to touch the floor with our feet or socks. Very disappointed and if we weren’t so tired from a day of walking around DC we would have left.

Yuck!
We booked this hotel only because of its location to Commander field and decided to make a DC weekend out of it. If our kids hadn’t wanted to stay, we would have left early. This hotel is dirty, unkempt, and smelly. Our bathroom smelled so bad we used my hairspray as room spray. The TV was fuzzy. The AC had one temperature — freaking cold! The breakfast was inedible. The neighbor is a little sketchy so don’t have on walking around.

Paid ahead of time thru Expedia. Checked in and one of the two keys didn’t work. Entire second floor smelled like spoiled Indian food. Took was ok except the AC intake at the window was right above the smoking area so our room reaked of pot (totally fine with smokers but don’t want it in my room), then when we returned later that night at midnight after the concert we attended, the one room key that worked at check in now DIDNT work, went down to the desk to get it reprogrammed to find no employees at the desk. Had to go search outside for assistance. He was out there socializing and smoking. He reprogrammed the key so we go BACK upstairs a second time only to find that it STILL didn’t work 🙄. Another trip to the desk and had to go outside AGAIN to find the employee and try AGAIN. And finally, several hours after we checked out and were back on our six hour drive home someone from the hotel called to claim my payment was declined. The payment I ALREADY MADE FIVE MONTHS AGO. So no I definitely DO NOT recommend this place.

Very Bad Stay
We had low expectations, but were only looking for a decent place to sleep and shower after a concert at Commanders Field. Unfortunately this was a pretty bad experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before check in and went to the desk to ask if the room was ready. While it was, the desk informed us it would cost $25 to check in half an hour early. I've literally never experienced this at a hotel ever, especially at one as poor as this. We killed 25 minutes and finally checked in. Upon climbing the steps to our hallway we were immediately hit with an extremely foul odor that smelled like rotten food. The room was equally bad. Food smashed into the carpet, stained sheets, and a jacuzzi tub that you couldn't have paid us to use. They already had our money, so we sucked it up and stayed anyway. The mattress sagged so badly in the middle we could barely sleep. The walls were paper thin and we could hear every conversation in other rooms. While I was showering in the morning my wife saw bed bugs on the sheets. I would not recommend staying here.
