Basic but convenient
It was clean and a good location is was ideal as a base for us we only use the room to freshen up and sleep. Walking distance from the train station and shops. On check in the receptionist didn’t give a warm welcome didn’t really communicate but would happy stay here again for location and convenience. Good value for money.

Great and central
Good room with everything required. Very hot and only a tiny fan but you can’t control the weather. Location could not have been better but noisy in the morning with a church bell at 7.30! Lovely thiugh

Let me just say, you get what you pay for. Location was the only positive experience we had. Room was tiny, not well ventilated, and was infested with black mold in the bathroom. Canadian credit cards also do not work at this location, which speaks to their lack of cybersecurity. Pillows were not pillows, just basically tiny duvets in a pillow case, luckily I was so hot through the night I used my blanket to supplement my lack of pillow. Will never be back and want to warn others to listen to the negative reviews (I didn’t and I regretted it). You are better off staying at a reputable hotel in the area with proper ventilation. It should also be noted for single female travellers, that the windows have no screen, so if you dare to open them at night there is no protection if someone would climb the very accessible fire escape located outside your window. All and all, I had to get another hotel because it was a sauna. Complete waste of money in my opinion. You’re better off staying at a hostel.

Male at check in, extremely rude, place smellls like sewage. Seems like they are under renovation quickly for euro 2024. Broken washroom door handle, broken toilet button, broken washroom sink, leaking shower head. Place feels super unsafe, up all night because constantly sounds like breaking in. Super inconvenient door keys, almost didn’t get into stadium for euro 2024 match due to the large metal bar for key chain.

DO NOT STAY HERE!. We picked hotel based on location and photos of room. It was expensive (as it was during Euro 2024), but suited our needs. NOPE!!! Front staff was just OK Our Room was in a separate building with a very tricky lock to get into entrance way; smelly, dank hallway. No security in this portion of hotel. A large laundry cart full of linens was at the entrance door the entire time we were there. Room was as pictured, but we had a view of the courtyard which consisted of industrial equipment/fans etc, Even our room & entrance keys were given to us on a twisted key ring which was not suitable to keep in a pocket, so we used our own key ring. Also, we had a loud knock on our door at 3:45am. We shouted back the person had the wrong room. It took him a while to figure out where he needed to be, and he was anything but quiet during this time!!! We then noticed that there was no phone in the room and no way for us to contact the Front Desk. We did not feel safe at all. Thank goodness we were leaving the next morning. I don't understand the positive reviews. Perhaps the main building is better maintained. Perhaps those rooms are given to guests who book directly. I don't know. But I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great downtown Köln Hotel
The check in was easy. This hotel is close to the Köln Dome and the Bahnhof. The room was clean and small. My ding on the stay was that the bathroom sink’s faucet was completely loose from the basin and the only thing holding it in place was the water connections. The water tap worked but the faucet moved around based on the force of the water flowing through it. I spoke to the front desk attendant who said they would call maintenance. Otherwise the stay was great. Parked at the Hilton underground lot as suggested by the front desk. No street parking available.

First time in Cologne!
Originally booked a quadruple room but was faced with a trek up 4 flights of stairs with no lift. Door wouldnt open either. Ended up back in reception and was given alternative rooms due to us having disabilities. Staff were super helpful and very kind, lovely people to talk to. We really enjoyed our stay. Beds could do with being revamped, none of the mattresses in either room were comfortable at all. Rooms clean and warm. Glorious church bells ringing to wake up to, no road noise! Had a lovely conversation with the Night Manager about rock bands- keep rocking Sir! Great location lots to see and do. Cologne you have my heart!
