Nice but bathroom needed attention
The room was nice and the staff were friendly but the rainfall shower head needed replaced. Half of it didnt put out water and the half that did sprayed everywhere but down. The bathroom also had a sewage smell each time you walked in.

L hôtel laisse les clients dormir sur des matelas à l envers donc sur les ressorts. Quand on s en aperçoit et qu on le signale aucune excuse aucun geste commercial alirs que de nombreuses plaintes étaient enregistrées. Aucun suivi client. Je venais pourtant depuis des années. Même pas de réponse. Inadmissible. Heureusement une gentille hôtesse d accueil relève le niveau car elle est adorable et compréhensive, mais la hiérarchie (pourtant présente) ne prend même pas le temps de dire un mot. Je n Avajs jamais vu un hôtel qui ne sait pas Qu un matelas a un sens et qui après les plaintes des clients (on dormait vraiment sur les ressorts !) ne prend pas le temps de regarder l Étiquette de sa literie.

Overall a good stay
Room was good quality, as it appeared in the photos. Staff were friendly at checkin. Bottled water provided in the fridge, free WiFi, a usb charge port on the dock for the provided tablet. Great location. The negatives are, the safe didn't work - this is a problem for me and have knocked if a star for this. Staff were not able to fix it. The bathroom was very small although the shower had good power and it was clean. There is very little storage. For hanging storage I could hang about 4 shirts. There was no cupboard or drawer storage so could no unpack my suitcase. This was ok for me as a solo traveller but if staying for a week with my wife it would be a bigger problem. It was also quite noisy from the street and maybe the restaurant beliw. I stayed on a Sunday and Monday, glad it wasn't Friday and Saturday. Overall a good hotel for the price. If the safe worked I would have given it 4 stars.

Property is located at water front. Nice view, but it gave me a hart time to find this hotel by Uber. The google map shows location, only 900 meters away, but the street doesn't allow car to get in font of hotel. Also, it is too hard to walking on small stone streets with big suitcases. There are a lot steps to get in some room. Elevator only go to certain levels. No way to carry big suitcases . For travel light people, hotel is ok.

We loved our stay at the Rhein Hotel St. Martin! It was wonderful to wake up to the incredible view of the river every day! The staff were very accommodating and took good care of us! FYI- the beds are very firm! Maybe ask for a second comforter, to make them a little softer.

Stayed Mon-Wed in early Oct so it was quiet. Check in was smooth. Room was very quaint. Beautiful view overlooking the river. Within safe walking distance of bars, restaurants, der dom, and the train station. Hot water was out one day, but it was repaired the next. I would stay there again.

Cologne stopover
Nice hotel overlooking the Rhine. Room and bed were comfortable and food in pub next door was good (10% discount for hotel guests). Down side was that hot water took about 10 minutes to come through, meaning loads of wasted water. Also workmen repairing the walkway outside the hotel started at 6.15am using very noisy machinery!

Was never informed that they did not have hot water. Ended up with an ice cold shower which was one of the worst experiences during any of my world wide travels. Couldn't sleep because I was froze. The staff told us to park in a certain garage and we would get 50 percent off. We were charged $24.00 for 5 hours and there was no one to give us the discount. The main parking garage was way cheaper. When checking in- they told us their card machine was not working- still wasn't working at check out- they had my friend pay cash but magically they got the machine working when I told them that I had no cash. They refused to give us receipts. Told us they would email the receipts the next business day- that was 5 days ago- still no receipt. Pick a different hotel and save yourself some aggravation.

Dishonest and unreliable. No hot water. Was offered a discount, which i accepted. They said they would process it later in the day when i checked out. That was a week ago, and no refund has been received. Property has stopped communicating with me.

At check-in the staff indicated the credit card machine was not working. Day one no hot water in the entire hotel. At check out day two. My credit card was denied and the staff indicated he did no know why. He asked for cash payment and refused to provide a receipt. Another person I was traveling with went through the same process, but when the staff was told they didn’t have cash for payment, suddenly their credit card machine worked and accepted payment. Very deceptive business practice.
