Unfortunately we got off to a bad start with the agent looking after this property. We hadn’t seen a check-in email, and so after climbing up a very steep hill side dragging our bags from the station, we were not allowed in until I’d filled in an online form requesting all our passport information and city tax. This was particularly uncomfortable with two kids in the heat. Eventually we got the code for the key safe and went in. We had a few concerns with loose plug sockets, a mirror propped up against the wall, shutters that didn’t open, a wardrobe door that didn’t open and no clothes hangers. The only item tended to was the lack of clothes hangers. We gave permission for the agent to attend for repairs but they kept being unable to. The shutters were never fixed, we were never told if the wardrobe was supposed to remain closed, the sockets & mirror remained loose. Most drawers were filled with blankets we didn’t need. We had to rearrange a lot of stuff to enable storage for our own clothes.
On the plus side, although there was no air-con, the natural flow of cool air down the side of the hill in the shade helped to keep the apartment cool in the afternoons & evenings. Fans were provided to assist with cooling, although the proximity to the station meant that keeping windows open was a bit noisy at night.
If you don’t mind walking up and down steep steps every time you go in to town, it’s actually in a great location, 15mins from most attractions.
