La Chataîgne is a real family home: open, warm and welcoming. The house is surrounded by terraces and shaded pergolas giving several options for meals or recreation. The large swimming pool in the garden is sufficiently distant to allow a quiet siesta while others choose to swim.
Built with natural materials there reigns a soothing and serene atmosphere. The living areas indoors are spacious and welcoming.
The house is located on a soft hill covered with cypresses and olive trees, away from the crowds. At few km away from the center of Corfu town and from beaches, it's position is ideal.
Totally renovated, the house was designed by an architect constantly in search of harmony and quality but also looking for advanced technology, offering maximum comfort while enabling low power consumption in order to preserve the environment.

The city received a Venetian imprint, with small alleys full of charm, lots of taverns, restaurants, cafes, small shops of every kind. The Corfiots love to meet each other in town, have a chat, sip an ouzo with 'pikilia' (plate with nibbles), read their paper taking the time to enjoy life. There prevails a very mediterranean atmosphere with a friendly, gentle and absolutely non violent attitude.
