Alice · Stylish retro caravan, bathroom, deck in the bush
Come and enjoy Alice, our stylishly renovated, pet-friendly, 23ft retro Millard Caravan. Alice features a deck, bathroom, outdoor kitchen and fire pit.
Alice is nestled in a secluded wooded glen on our 7-acre bush property in Crescent Head. Your exclusive campsite is a two-minute drive from the iconic beaches and village of Crescent Head.
Alice offers a unique experience for your next coastal adventure.
Many of our guests stay for a relaxing stopover when driving between Sydney and Qld.
Alice is self-contained and sits in a completely private bush setting surrounded by trees. You will love sitting by the firepit under pretty fairy lights in your own secluded wooded glen. You will also love the sounds of waves crashing gently in the background.
Alice is fully renovated and features a roomy double bedroom, kitchenette, dinette for four, an L-shaped lounge, and two external doors that lead onto the covered deck.
The deck features a bathroom (shower, eco-toilet, and large vanity) an outdoor kitchen (wok burner, hooded barbecue, two gas burners, and a sink with hot and cold water), and a dining table. There is a wood-burning pizza oven just near Alice.
Alice has fantastic airflow as all sides are surrounded by louvre windows. We also include two fans for your comfort on hot days. There is a heater for when it is a bit chilly and a fire pit just off the deck.
In the natural bush amphitheatre, you will wake to a chorus of native birds and, in summer, cicadas. Resident visitors include kangaroos, wallabies, birds, goannas, and echidnas. Koalas have been spotted on the property.
We purposely keep the bush as undeveloped and natural as possible to attract native animals and birds.
Alice is ideally suited for two adults. However, the L-shaped lounge can become two single beds, so we do accept bookings for two additional children. We make up the double bed for adults and leave the bedding on the end of the lounge if children are staying so the beds can be made up at the end of the day.
We have included lots of board games for everyone to enjoy.
There is a pretty dam approximately 30 metres from Alice.
Our property is on Point Plomer Road and provides easy driving access to the pretty coastal village of Crescent Head (2 minutes), Back Beach, Racecourse, Delicate Nobby, Big Hill, and Point Plomer.
You will need either your car or bikes to explore Point Plomer Road and Crescent Head. It is possible to walk to town. The access track to Back Beach (dog-friendly area) is just down the road from our entrance.
We live in the main house at the top of the driveway. We are here to assist if you need it, however, we will respect your privacy throughout your stay.
Crescent Head is a beautiful village on the mid-north coast of NSW. The beaches are pristine, the surf is sublime and the town has a relaxed, friendly feel.
Crescent Head Point has recently become the second surf reserve in Australia; the waves at the point are perfect for longboards and are long, gentle and clean. The beach and the back road (down to Point Plomer) are excellent for shorter boards and you can even find a wave down there with no one on it!
Killick Creek, which runs into the beach is great for kids and SUP boarders alike.
The local club has golf, tennis, bowls, pool tables, entertainment, kid's meals, counter meals and a Chinese restaurant.
We are lucky to have an amazing bakery, five coffee shops, five restaurants, a tavern, and a country club for a small town. There is also a small supermarket, chemist, surf shop, post office, and a petrol station.
Alice is a much-loved vintage caravan and we ask all of our guests to treat her with the respect she deserves.
