We regularly eat at The Bear, as we love the food, but this was our first time to stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. As always, the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious. Our waiter, Hi-Man was most attentive.

Perfect getaway spot
We stayed here following a day of hiking and it was perfect. However it would also be a great place to stay for a more glamorous occassion too. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable bed and quirky interior. Food was incredible.

6 of us (plus 3 dogs) meet annually for a walking weekend. The Bear was a perfect place to stay - characterful hotel, excellent service, good food, comfortable rooms.
