Curiel de Duero
The house is up near the top of the hill that Curiel sits on, below the castle which is now a hotel. Stunning countryside and views in all directions. Even a view including Penafiel castle which is much bigger and higher and you can do a guided tour with English audio if you like. Penafiel is the nearest town and is a tremendous wine town (Ribera de Duero AOC) with good, fun bars and restaurants in the old town. The house itself is well equipped and comfortable. It is very old and has its own wine tunnel dug into the hill (not available for use by visitors) but Curiel itself has a number of bodegas and Penafiel has many.
