Travel a little out of Dalton and you'll find some picturesque natural sights. Just 15 kilometres away, Central Lakes Trail is a fabulous spot to spend a few hours in the fresh air. We also suggest Prairie Wetlands Learning Center, 15 kilometres away from Dalton.

If your time here happens to coincide with a huge snow dump, you'll see many local powder fiends packing up their cars for some chilled-out thrills at Andes Tower Hills.

If you head 20 kilometres northeast from Dalton, you'll find Battle Lake. Many travellers like to use this place as a base to check out Prospect House & Civil War Museum and Glendalough State Park.
