Welcome to Dawsonville and one of North Georgia’s most intriguing locations, Lake Lanier. Here you will enjoy beautiful North Georgia mountains, vineyards, outlet and boutique shopping, hiking trails, as well as a short drive to downtown Atlanta. This quaint studio cottage has all you need for a perfect getaway.
You will enjoy fully furnished nights with a plush king size bed, fully stocked chef’s kitchen, and a custom designed master bath with a stand-up shower and a beautiful air-bath tub. Comfortably heated floors are included for colder nights and a gas firepit table on the deck.. On warmer evenings you will enjoy sitting on the outdoor porch, overlooking the tranquil garden of evergreens or on the newly added side deck with views of Lake Lanier.(Please know that we are on the lake, but we do not have a dock.)
This will be a perfect alternative to a hotel stay for you while visiting Lake Lanier, North Georgia mountains, wineries, or Dahlonega. We live right around the corner on the lake with a two story dock complete with lounge chairs on top. We also have two kayaks and a paddle board that are available with access to the lake from our dock. You are more than welcome to hang out on our dock and fish/swim.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony or patio. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. The bathroom has a jetted bathtub and a hair dryer.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.

My husband and I decided to take a short trip to relax and enjoy time together in Georgia. We decided on this property and were not disappointed. Donna, our hostess, was amazing. She checked to make sure we had everything we needed each day and was so nice. The listing stated that the property would have items stocked in the kitchen but in reality everything you may want including drinks, snacks, coffee, breakfast foods, frozen foods, and more is already in the kitchen when you arrive. We were shocked and so grateful! The cabin was super clean and decorated very cute. It is located in a great area close to many things to do including wineries, waterfalls, hiking, and shopping. We will be back again soon! We loved everything about it!

This cabin is awesome! The owner has made this cabin a welcoming haven from the fall decorations, inspiring plaques on the wall, instrumental music playing as we entered down to goody bags for each of us—a handwritten board welcoming us as well as providing our favorite drinks. I booked this for my fiancé and I to get away for his birthday and as a last rest before he started a new job. Donna was extremely responsive throughout the process. She asked about our preferences for coffee too! We arrived to a beautifully fall decorated retreat including a happy birthday banner and treats. We enjoyed our stay. There was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. The area is extremely peaceful and I even got some work done sitting on the deck enjoying small but nice view of the lake. We even had time for a romantic dinner at nearby winery.

Awesome cabin!
Loved this little cabin! The host is unbelievable, the best host I have ever experienced. She is extremely communicative, the kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked with EVERYTHING! She went above and beyond and left a bottle of wine, chocolate, and a happy birthday sign for my birthday. Gave us great recommendations for some local wineries and things to do. There is a gas grill outside that has everything you need, just bring your own meat and veggies! So easy! Very safe neighborhood, great neighbors, close to many attractions, like Helen, wineries, and Dahlonega. Highly highly recommend! I will definitely stay here again Next time I am in the area. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Fabulous Summer Vacation
My husband and I spent the week at Lakeside Retreat and were very impressed! I can honestly say that everything exceeded our expectations. The room was very nice and clean including everything needed from toiletries, snacks, comfortable outdoor sitting options to relax, fire pit, etc. I honestly could not think of anything else that someone would need. The location was great and easily found with plenty of space that enabled us to park our truck and boat trailer on site. We spent a lot of our time on Lake Lanier and the location was close to a boat ramp. I also enjoyed running/walking in the neighborhood. The host Donna was AMAZING! She was very helpful and made us feel welcome. Her husband Ashley was very helpful also. Everyone in the neighborhood were so nice and friendly and made us feel right at home. We also enjoyed meeting the hosts dog Piper! We have been to lake Lanier a few years ago and stayed somewhere else. This experience at Lakeside Retreat was perfect and we will definitely be back to stay. I would not stay anywhere else after staying at Lakeside Retreat!! Thank you Donna for making our summer vacation so wonderful !

"I can't express enough how incredible this place is! It's truly a hidden gem, beautiful, cozy, and impeccably clean. Donna, our host, was absolutely fantastic. She's incredibly attentive and responsive to any questions or concerns. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials, and the bathroom has an abundance of fresh, fluffy towels. Additionally, there's a diverse range of fantastic dining options and enjoyable activities nearby. Without a doubt, I'll be recommending this place to friends and family. Wonderful Getaway! Amazing Host!
We loved this rental on Lake Lanier. We were celebrating our 28th Anniversary and we were not disappointed. As soon as we stepped into the one room studio, we were met with a beautifully decorated room and a banner over the bed celebrating our special day. Donna, our amazing hostess, had prepared snacks and drinks to bless our time there. She also was always quick to respond to our questions and needs. She even came to meet us at the cottage which was an additional blessing. We loved the outdoor areas on the decks and the jetted tub. We will definitely be back again!

This property is amazing. It was beautifully decorated. It had everything that we needed. Donna, who is the host, put up decorations and left me a nice gift for my birthday. This Lakeside Retreat was the best Retreat Ever!
My Husband and I spend three nights in this amazing, charming and serene "cabin type" hideaway. Tucked away on Lake Lanier, our "resort" was nothing short of a slice of heaven. The décor was charming, with encouraging and spirit filled words throughout the home. The host, Donna, went so out of her way to provide a memorable experience that we will not forget. From the welcoming music that was playing when we arrived, the beautiful aroma that filled the room when we walked in, and the thoughtful bottle of wine that awaited us (next to the amazing snack basket)...we truly wanted for nothing. The coffee bar was stacked with anything we needed while we were there. I absolutely adored this place and hope to return again soon. This was a 10 star getaway for sure. We stayed for a very quick weekend. We attended a wedding within 30 min of the property and didn't want a stuffy hotel. The place is adorable, clean, has everything you need, and is nicely tucked away from the hustle of city life. I saw a hummingbird outside the window the first day and knew we had found the perfect little weekend spot.

We had such a wonderful stay. Donna was 100% helpful in anyway if we had any questions. The cabin was absolutely wonderful and so peaceful. Me and my hubby celebrated our 1 year anniversary and my birthday together at the cabin and we came back home so happy. We even went for a walk around the neighborhood after dinner one of the nights. I absolutely loved the view at night and I love how everything was lighted up at night. We will definitely recommend to our family and friends that want a quiet and country getaway. The place was just as pictured. Very cute and perfect for a couple. Donna provided much more than any vrbo we ever stayed at. The refrigerator was stocked with everything we needed for our 5 day stay and she even provided a bottle of wine for each of us. There are many nice wineries and places to visit in the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. 5 stars from us for sure.
