We just needed somewhere for an overnight stop on our journey by train from Spain to the UK (Eurostar via Paris). The 25 minute walk from and to the station was fine. Found a nice restaurant nearby for dinner. Nice location by the river. A bit confusing being called both the Miradour and the Ibis. Not quite sure what's going on there!

The staff we incredibly kind and friendly. They were very helpful and made us feel comfortable. The bedding and towels were very clean. Sadly the room we stayed in had a horrible stench of being a smokers room that had been vented a lot but still had a disturbing odour of cigarettes. The toilet and shower cubicle also stank of sewerage. The room was exceptionally dated. All in all we didn't sleep well and were disappointed by the poor quality of the room.

Great hotel and location
Lovely place to stay. They allowed me to park my motorcycle by the bike store with cctv. Nice and secure. Receptionists extremely helpful, and a lovely breakfast in the morning. They also have a spa which I didn’t know about or use. Only a short stroll to the centre of Dax. I will definitely stay again.

dependable but dull - except view
Just what you would expect from a good Ibis hotel. A purpose built hotel with the same standards as other higher status Ibis concerns. Overlooking river and reasonable central position. Lacking in individual personality so walked to central area for food where variety and old town feel.

Change of name!
The main problem with this hotel is that it changed its name at some point in the past few years. We stayed at it about ten years ago and really enjoyed it. When booking this time, we looked for the Dax Ibis bit couldn't find it on Hotels.com. so I settled on the Miradour. We spent an hour driving around Dax but couldn't find the Miradour so, in desperation, called in at the hotel we knew as the Ibis, inly to realise it was now called the Miradour. The new name, above the main entrance, was so tiny that we'd not noticed it. No one we stopped and asked had heard of the Miradour. We also thought it was not as good a hotel as it had been the last time we stayed there. The restaurant was pretty good, though.

Bruits parasites
Nuit horrible car beaucoup de bruits de lavabo qui se débouche. Sinon là literie est très confortable, mais la chambre est vieillotte. Pas de brosse dans les toilettes. Et toujours se bruit de ventilation ou de moteur qui résonne dans la chambre.
