Ever wondered why Overijssel is such a fave with travellers? Well, we reckon its wonderful rivers and streams have a thing or two to do with it! Set up base in De Stapel and you'll be in a fab spot to get out and enjoy them.

It's situated 100 kilometres east of Netherlands' capital, Amsterdam.

Is there anything more relaxing than picking up seashells beside the water? Plan an excursion to Vuntusstrand or Nes Beach for a wonderful day out.

Head out of De Stapel and get ready to enjoy some wonderful natural sights. Just 20 kilometres away, National Park De Weerribben is a nice place to get out into the fresh air. We also suggest Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park Hellendoorn Entrance, 30 kilometres away from De Stapel.
