Once upon a time, Campaniles were basic but offered good value and a lovely bistro-Style dining room.
Now: they're just basic. Food is very basic and not great quality. Price is now toppy fir what it is, which is basic.
Helpful and pleasant staff, though. Rooms clean, albeit in need of a lick of paint and general touch-up.
Service was good. That’s the high point.
Paid parking only is annoying, tired rooms is even more so. Too cold and heater didn’t work is really annoying and the mattress was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on.
In terms of cleanliness it wasn’t bad but a lot of the lesser used top surfaces had accumulations of dust. The main problem for me was that it didn’t feel safe. All rooms have external doors and there are no chains that I could see. Add that to the nasty mattress and I got about 3 hours sleep in total.
Stayed for 2 nights at a good price, the bed wasn’t very comfortable and springy bed, also at 2.30pm on Thursday 27th March the fire alarm sounded few times which was a shock I assume it was for testing the alarm
It was acceptable for the price. Carpet not very clean but everywhere else was ok. Lovely cooked breakfast

Lovley stay in room 125.... basic just what was needed for the occasion bed was great ... sound little telly with the news channel on so yer will be back for sure to use again
The staff at this property were second to non , especially Jon and Daniel the manager. I booked 4 rooms as I am producing a low budget film and I also booked the office space and was able to use the canteen for filming . Yes it is a two star hotel , however it was clean and warm and the breakfast was fantastic , but most of all the staff were absolutely brilliant and couldn't do enough for us . I would stay there again in a heartbeat .
This is a brilliant hotel. The price is very reasonable and the rooms are great and very comfortable. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a nice place at a great price look no further.
Very much a motel vibe. Can’t complain for the price I suppose but be aware that it’s very basic. Bathroom tiles were stained. Overall accommodation block reminded me of an inner city tower block of flats.
