We really enjoy coming back to the Abbey when we visit family nearby. In the past several years, it looks like fewer staff are attempting to do more and it takes its toll. That said, the staff is always so friendly and kind.

Nice views on the harbor. Recommend getting a room with Harbor view ( you have a back door leading directly to the harbor) Friendly staff ( especially bartender Carlos) at the Waterfront Restaurant. Looking forward to staying there in the Summer.

Rooms are nice. You can tell they’ve been updated within the last 5 years. Look great. Resort is very pretty. Location on the Lake is great. We usually come in the off season when rate is reasonable. Spa is nice.

We had checked into a 1 King Bed, which was in building 6. It was OK. It appeared they had started to renovate the room but then stopped. We had requested to be somewhat near another couple who we travelled with to the property and they would not accommodate this (even though the room right next to us was getting cleaned). We tried to get a day pass to the Avani Spa at about 3-330pm and we were unable to get in. They had told us we needed to get their first thing in the morning to secure a spot. Anyways, we decided to visit the indoor pool and hot tub. It was outdated and dirty. We stayed a short while and then left. We headed to dinner at 240 West and that was pretty decent. The steaks were good but drinks were average. We decided to not hang around the hotel bar and headed to downtown Lake Geneva for the evening. Fast forward, we headed to the spa in the morning to reserve 2 day passes and as soon as we get there, the staff is like "well we will sell you 2 day passes but after that, we are done for the day". We ended up paying $40 each for a day pass and it was not worth it at all. No one guided us around after we purchased the pass. We did not know where to go, how to use the lockers, where the pool or other amenities were. The staff was not helpful at all. Whenever we asked a question, they looked at us like we were stupid. Once inside, we noticed that the steam room was not working. No discount or refund was offered. We will not return or recommend to anyone.

I was woken up at 3 am by a toddler screaming and crying which lasted about 45 minutes to an hour. The family was in one of the rooms next to mine. Then at 5:30 am I was woken up by kids running up and down the hall.
