The photograph of the reception on Expedia was not the same reception we actually entered. It was dated , and dark and very old. Not like the photographs.

Helpful Staff, Shower Broken
The staff were really helpful, they only forgot one room order. The shower was broken, had a fun time trying to stay under shower and the tap.

a poorly run hotel close to Delhi airport
Receptionist at the check-in and check-out counter were unhelpful, rude and impolite. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
Rooms don't look like the way they are on Orbitz. It is another roadside hotel of India which should not be on Orbitz to begin with. Staff is corrupt especially front desk.
Extremely worst hotel definitely not good for any family group, old building, less lights and rude hotels restaurant staff and they provide good services only for VIP, only ok part of hotel is receptionists and room cleaning staff.
filthy room, not cleaned for years, stains & hair in the bed.
Mosquito and cockroaches everywhere.
Used soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Strong urine stench in the toilet.
Very strong cigarette smell in NONsmoking room.
No key for the room, one master key which opened 30 other rooms with the domestic staff.
No wifi at all, when asked they said it's not working for the past 2 days.
Very rude and arrogant reception staff.
Breakfast - sight of it made us sick, unclean utensils.
We literally ran away from this hotel early in the morning.
Want to experience hell, choose this hotel. All the best.

LIMITED POSSIBILITIES
I was staying in a hotel different from what was mentioned in the online booking. The hotel manager (owner?) did not find my reservation, so he called up a hotel (supposed to be an extension of Hotel Saptagiri, but with a different name) and asked them to move me bag and baggage to that hotel. The stay was relatively comfortable, but the sink was not draining at all and the toilet seat was falling from its place all the time. The TV was not working and so were a couple of lamps. For the low price of one night, it was not bad to stay here, but I think the hotel is not suitable for those who would like to spend a quality time in a cosy place. The staffs were quite polite and helpful.

Disgusting service
Beautiful hotel but terrible staff. Rooms were dirty with complimentary shampoo bottles open and 3/4 empty from the last guests. No drinking water provided, and not provided on request. No room key/ card, the staff use folded paper in the room to power the lights and have to let you into your room each time you leave. Porters stood back and watch us struggle with our bags during check-in and only took them once in the lift, then expected a tip!! The last time we stay at Hotel Saptigiri!!
Air conditioning was not working for the entire floor, yet they checked in without informing and room had no fans or windows. Crates a drama of checking stuff and finally confirmed that they cannot do anything about it
The hotel is located near the the airport in an area overflowing with budget hotels. This one is no better or worse than others in the area. It's fine for an overnight stay if you've got a flight the next morning. The hotel is rather drab and cheerless but the room was OK and the bed was comfy. Uninspiring breakfast.

close to airport, convenient for one night stay,
wifi never worked, the hotel staff was not able to sort out the problem and did not come back. Printer was not functional and billing was delayed and had to be take out from the other complex.
Just in the event you only read the first part of a review when selecting a hotel, let me list the negative first so you are not pulled into the same situation. I had minibar charges and had asked for a taxi to the airport which is a mere 5 minute ride away so I had expected to have a bill upon checkout. What I didn't expect was to pay a convenience fee for the mini bar that is not listed with the charges and makes it nearly 4 times the cost of the items and to have the driver and the manager via phone insist upon payment for the taxi at the airport when it had already had been prepaid at the hotel. Needless to say, after much arguing I simply did not pay the additional taxi fee. Now for the hotel itself. It is nice and the room is very clean and quiet despite my room being right next to the elevator. The amenities in the bathroom were generous including the standards and a dental kit and comb. The accommodation was modern and and decor tasteful. Hotel was a bit further from shopping than the others from shopping, but this is actually a plus and affords it a bit more quiet.
THE STAY WAS O.K. THEY HAVE TWO BUILDINGS IN WHICH THE FRONT IS OLD BUILDING AND NOT SO COMFORT BUT THERE ANOTHER BUILDING WHICH IS BACK SIDE IS EXCELLENT AND VERY GOOD, THE BREAK FAST IS , HAVE GYM, AND WIFI, THE COTS ARE COMFORT.
We are usually not picky people and generally like our hotels, but this one was different. We booked a room plus round trip airport transportation. They did not show up to pick us up at the airport despite waiting for 45 minutes. Then, they refused to reimburse us for the cab that we took there and the front desk man was very rude and short with us. Our room appeared cleanly but when we rolled back the sheets, there was hair in the bed and stains. Housekeeping came and did do a nice job changing the linens. When we left, they again tried to get us to pay for transportation. They did provide us with a breakfast at 3:30am before we left for the airport. The restaurant food was pretty good and a decent price!
I was coming from US so looked online for a good hotel near Airport but committed the biggest mistake although i read certain bad reviews but then to be positive for the very time overlooked those. The staff was not polite at all the room smell awful and bed sheets are in real bad shape.. i stayed for an hour and then left although i was supposed to check out in morning and had booked free breakfast.... please don't go there.... i wasted my money but don't want you guys to face such an experience.

highs and lows
We spent one night at the Hotel Saptagiri on our last night in India, after traveling for two weeks around the country. We weren't expecting it to be a fantastic stay based on reviews, but our main priority was easy access to the airport, since we flew into Delhi one afternoon and flew out early the next morning. I had booked round-trip transportation to and from the hotel when I booked on hotels.com, but when I contacted the hotel via email, I got no response. When I was in India, I called them on a weekend to confirm they would pick us up and was told I would have to call back during the work week. I called back the morning we flew into Delhi and was told they would pick us up and I gave them our flight number. No one was there at the airport to pick us up and I had to borrow a stranger's cell phone to call the hotel. Someone showed up a bit later with another person's name on the sign for pick-up. When I checked out of the hotel, the person at the desk claimed hotels.com only "holds" my credit card number and does not charge it and that I had to pay the hotel directly when I checked out. The person stated that was standard procedure. I had to dig out email confirmation I had already paid and prove I did not have to pay them a second time. Overall, the room was clean, although the hotel seems to be highly disorganized. If we needed another hotel near the Delhi airport in the future, we would find somewhere else to stay.
India is a hard place to find decent hotels. You're not going to find anything that appeals to a western taste below a certain price threshold. For a middle of the range costing place, the hotel saptagiri ticks enough boxes to be recommendable. I felt safe. There was hot water in the mornings. The traffic outside is horrendously loud but thats due to India's love of the horn and nothing against the Saptagiri. The staff are friendly, the free breakfast is delicious (if you enjoy Indian food, which if you're in india i'm assuming you do) and the place is located close enough to the airport so that when you arrive, its relatively low fuss to get there. Bring ear plugs and shower early and youll have a great time here on a budget price. It's not 10Rs a night, but trust me, anywhere that costs so little just wont be worth your time.
