I stayed here for one night during Thanksgiving week and, unfortunately, I have to say, please don’t stay here. I usually don’t leave reviews, whether good or bad, but I feel I have to share this experience. We discovered bed bugs in our room. Before going to bed, I checked the corners of the mattress and noticed small blood stains, likely from accidentally squashing a bug. At the time, I didn’t think much of it because I assumed, being a Hyatt, the room would be clean. However, I woke up with nine bites all over my body. In a panic, I woke my husband, and we inspected the sheets, only to find a live bed bug crawling around. I was disgusted. I immediately went to the front desk, showed them the bug (which I had caught and placed in a cup), and they confirmed it was indeed a bed bug. At this point, I was in tears—not just from the bites, but because I couldn’t understand how we were supposed to enjoy the rest of our trip. The front desk response was incredibly disappointing. One of the managers offered me a free coffee, water, or breakfast, which felt utterly inappropriate given the situation. They did offer to move us to a new room, which we did, but we spent the next few hours showering and shaking out all of our clothes to ensure we weren’t taking any bed bugs with us. The only person who was truly helpful was the executive housekeeper, Kate. She was genuinely concerned and did her best to assist us. In the end, we received a refund for the room. Please don’t stay here.
