The shower head was attached to a pole to slide it up and down. It was terrible. No kitchenette in the suite. Odd lighting. Electrical plugs were too loose to plug anything in. Not allowed to adjust room temperature

No room air conditioning
I wish I would have known this hotel did not have air conditioning in the rooms. The weather was in the high 80s and low 90s and it was quite uncomfortable.

The lobby smelled bad, like vomit. The front desk had air fresheners at it. So they knew it was an issue. I checked in. Got to the room and it was hot. They said the AC was controlled centrally and offered a fan. Later I found out the AC simply doesn’t work and the staff offered fans to everyone at check in. My room had no hot water at all. When asked to refund or move. I was told they couldn’t do that because I had booked through Expedia.

Can’t adjust the thermostat, this is why i gave a 4 star. I get too cold. Staff was excellent, elevators are fast, breakfast is good. I stayed 2 nights for a Mavericks show at the Paramount theater & to cruise around Denver. Very nice. I think the parking should be free for 1 car per guest, it’s way over priced, can’t recall exact amount. There is a walk across atrium that connects to the Brown Hotel, be sure to go over there. It’s gorgeous! I used the Lyft scooters for transportation, so fun & the roads are easy to navigate. Have fun in Denver.

While the staff was all super nice, the room was dirty and felt really old and out dated. There was a huge stain in the carpet, the paint in the bathroom was peeling, and the sofa bed and rollaway bed were so worn out you could feel every spring. There was also no parking outside of the third party (slightly sketchy) valet. Overall we were disappointed and will not be back. There was also no room service and services were extremely limited after 8pm.

1 star hotel posted as 3 star - terrible experienc
1 learning I got from this stay is to never use Hotels.com… this (Holiday Inn) does not deserve to be a hotel, let alone a 3 star one. The lobby was smelling so bad and after the check-in, I entered my room and tried to turn on the AC. The thermostat was dead and when I enquired the front desk - they said the system is down for a while and they can offer portable fans. I asked them to deliver it to the room for which the response was that there were only 2 house keeping staff and both are busy and they asked me to come to the front desk and pick up the fan. I got into the shower to notice there was no running hot water … I stood in the shower for 20 min before I started to get Luke warm water atleast… ice machine, hot water machine and all kind of machines were out of service. The carpet had so much dust in it that I caught a cold. TV was advertised as smart but it only has cable .. the snack bar was empty and the response was always the same - we are working on it. the only 2 things that were +ves were - a decent breakfast and okish bed.
