Great location. The food at The Nickel was good. The staff was nice, though they seemed understaffed for the holidays. We had requested our room to be fully cleaned twice and it was never done.

It was a nice quiet area to get a room and a couple of drinks at the nickel downstairs. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Matthew definitely made my trip more fun.

I really appreciated how unique this hotel was compared to others in the area—it had so much character. The staff were incredibly friendly and always quick to respond to any requests I had. The on-site restaurant was fantastic, with delicious food that kept me coming back for multiple meals. My only concerns were the noise levels—you can hear everything quite easily—and the elevator, which was a bit slow.

Dismal experience
First room was lousy: small, poorly lit, missing lightbulbs, no heat. Replacement room was larger but also poorly lit with lightbulbs missing and missing curtain except for blackout ones, so could not get natural light. There was no housekeeping or linen or towel service on Christmas, and no toilet paper replacements available, but we were not told that. We had to specifically request bathrobes that were supposed to be supplied.

Can't beat the location if you're walking to the theater for a show. Room was very nice. Only one elevator was working and it took a long time so it was a process at times to get to our room. Main area of the restaurant is under construction so very limited space for dining but once we did get a table the food and service was excellent.

We like to stay here because of the amenities like a drink, a check-in, a credit to the restaurant, and Transportation within 2.5 miles. None of those were provided to us other than free Prosecco. Usually we get wine or beer and they tell us we couldn’t have that. I also would’ve liked to have known that the driver wasn’t going to be available last night. Our room wasn’t ready until an hour after check-in. One of the lights next to the bed didn’t work at all. The paint was peeling all around the windows and looked quite old. It was definitely not as nice of a stay as we’ve had there before.

Booked a room for two nights. The first night the room did not get below 72 even though the air conditioning was on. We were moved to a new room for the second night and the air did not appear to work in that room either, but the room did not get above 68. Overheard another guest complaining about their room being hot as well. Rooms were clean and hotel staff was great. Convenient location to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, but it was not worth the price even without the temperature issue.
