The hotel itself was great. Love how walkable it was and the restaurant and bar were great! However, we had an unfortunate uncounted with the front desk that left me feeling unsafe. I originally booked one night but decided to stay two. When I called to see if I could have the same room on the second night, I was told that it was no problem and I would just need to bring my keys down to the front desk on the second day. On that day, I got to the front desk and was told that they needed my ID which I had left in my room. I told her I would run up and get the ID but she insisted that security escort me to the room? Not only was this completely unnecessary, but when we got there the security man blocked the door so I couldn’t leave until I showed him my ID. As a woman, I felt so uncomfortable being blocked in a room alone with a strange man. I asked what he was checking since he didn’t have my name - he couldn’t tell me. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome to the rest of the trip. It’s a great hotel and I wish I hadn’t have had that weird encounter.

The hotel was beautiful and the room was amazing. We loved the restaurant that was attached, Gattara. We received free breakfast which was delicious with tons of options. Lunch or dinner was also amazing.

When we got there we were given keys to a room that was either still occupied or hadn’t been cleaned at all. We went down to get a new room and apparently the new room was $100 more which makes no sense to me as to why we would have to pay more when our room wasn’t ready and we needed moved? Once we got into our new room things seemed fine until we went to bed and there was old dried blood (or something else that’s red??) stained on one of our pillows.
