We had a total of 19 staying with us for a family reunion/birthday gathering. I'm OCD when it comes to cleanliness and staying in places away from home. Here at this VEBO, I didn't feel the need to wipe anything down before touching/using it..... this is HUGE for me!! We cooked ALL ENTIRE WEEKENDworth 6 of us women in and out of the kitchen, constantly, and the layout was absolutely perfect. I plan to stay here next time we're up North, and i highly recommend this house!

We were ten adults and seven children under the age of 12, including an infant. The place is huge, with a lot of space for getting together or spreading out. It has a ton of seating options for eating and board games. The game room was a hit with everyone and is separated enough that the kids could get loud without disturbing anyone on the other side of the house, including the baby. The outdoor options: private playground, large hot tub, firepit, and pier were excellent. The house also sits on a hiking trail that we took advantage of in the peak fall colors. There is not much going on in the town of Phelps, but Eagle River is nearby with great restaurant options. We struggled a bit with the patio doors but figured it out (pull UP on handles like the signs say). We celebrated an early Thanksgiving, and the kitchen including double oven, was perfect for preparing a big family meal. This is also important, as others have mentioned: the listing says 5 bedrooms, but the house has only 4 private bedrooms that have doors. The fifth bedroom is a common living-room type space with a bunkbed and two couches in it, and there's a pullout bed in the theater. I did not read the reviews well enough and this would have been a dealbreaker for us if we had understood correctly, as we wanted all adults to be able to have a private bedroom. We had to get a second rental because of this, which was okay. Still had a great time and look forward to coming back. Great memories. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful home, well appointed and perfect location. Peaceful and yet close to everything. Amazing view overlooking the lake. Hosts Tim and Lisa’s communication was very responsive. Definitely would recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We enjoyed the deck view, dock, and campfire area. Also a great area for soaking in some fall color drives. Bond falls in MI is definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive from the cabin. We hope to take our kiddos back during the summer. The only thing we couldn’t figure out was the TV set up in the bedroom or bathroom. Ultimately, I was too busy reminding my husband who was the Yahtzee and Cribbage champ is so it didn’t impact our trip. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

My wife, our 2 year old and two dogs spent a wonderful week at this cabin. The cabin provided us a perfect location where we had lots of privacy and a beautiful setting to hang out and enjoy being a family.
