In our opinion, we recommend that you do not stay at this Fairfield! We stayed here for 4 nights and this is one of the worst Marriott properties we have ever stayed at. The air conditioning unit in the room was so loud and rattled so much, that you could not sleep or hear the TV without turning the volume way up. After 72 degrees, the heat comes on! Either super hot or super cold. The thermostat does not have a separate setting for heat or cold. We asked about changing rooms but the maintenance man said all the a/c units in every room are just as loud. The pillows were so soft and thin, we woke up with headaches every morning. The mattress was also too soft. Pillows, mattress and a/c unit needs to be replaced. In 4 days, we noticed that housekeeping did not vacuum the carpet in the hallways and the elevator. Carpet is old and stained; also needs to be replaced. Breakfast, although complimentary, is far below what you would expect and is less than what other hotels provide. Breakfast ends at 9:30am but they started to take items away before 9:30am. Even the front desk staff said “don’t expect much” so we went to Bob Evans right down the street and it has a great breakfast all day. Coffee was good and they have a coffee station set up at 4:30am. The rooms do not have a safe to store your valuable items. Overall, this property needs major updates and new management. We would not stay here again. There are many other hotels near the airport.
