Unfortunately, our stay was far from ideal. At check-in, we experienced an unusually long delay due to a computer issue, which made the process take much longer than expected and set a frustrating tone at the start of our visit. The following morning, we were awakened early by a fire alarm and required to evacuate the hotel and stand outside in freezing temperatures. We later learned it was caused by a small kitchen issue. While we understand that safety procedures are necessary, the situation was very disruptive to our stay. Later that evening, we were hoping to relax and enjoy our last night at the rooftop area, but we were unable to do so because the entire space had been booked for a private party. Unfortunately, we were not informed of this in advance. Although the management and staff were courteous and professional, the repeated disruptions and lack of communication made our stay significantly less enjoyable than expected.

Room was in good condition, food was good but limited room service was disappointing. The mandatory valet was definitely on the slower side. The crowds that stayed here made the stay the worst. Drunks screaming in the halls all hours of the night. Felt like I can hear down the hall the entire stay.

This is my second stay at the Godfrey. The room service is always great...but one of the agents named Mia, at the front desk was very unprofessional when I called to inquire about an additional charge on my card after checking in. She left me on hold several times and even hung up on me. When I addressed it she responded with "First of all" and refused to listen to what I was trying to explain. The charge was eventually removed but it tainted my experience. A hotel rep then entered my room without knocking and explained that we weren't supposed to be in the room. I called again and Mia answered. After I explained what happened she responded with "What had happened was"...which I thought was also unprofessional. She explained that they had checked us into the wrong room...other than that experience the rest of the stay was a bit more enjoyable.
