The hotel, though clean, was dated and in need of updating.
The room felt as if you were staying in an aunt's spare room. None of the furniture seemed to match in style, the bed was a bit lumpy, the room was tight in size, and the wardrobe cabinet was on the smaller side. There were no hooks or space to hold a winter coat...it is Detroit! The shower, though large, only had a ceiling faucet.
The Siren would be a perfect set for a movie from the 1930's.
The lobby is very dark.
There is a bar on the main floor but because it is small, reservations are required. Seems to be a hopping place on weekends.
On the positive side, the staff is friendly, It is located near the downtown People Mover (free), there is a nice outdoor seating area, and it is relatively modestly priced.
For a night or two, it is certainly satisfactory.
