Overall our stay at the Crane was fantastic. It offers you amazing views, the swimming pools are fantastic. The beach was very dirty due to sea weed. They do not have an outdoor heated pool which I feel they should have nor do they have a hot outdoor jacuzzi. Also the small whirlpool is cold so we didn't end up really enjoying it. Overall though we may come again, but will NOT get a room with whirlpool.

It was not a great first experience staying at the Crane. I come to Barbados once a month and stay in various locations all over the island. This was my first time at the Crane and will also be my last. Service was provided by people who most of all appeared to not want to be there in the first place. So not a good experience. I had dinner at the Italian restaurant and breakfast at Azure. Not worth the time or money.. plenty of proper restaurants on the island. On the positive side.. Great bed, and the hostess at Mount Pleasant was great and helpful. I really had been looking forward to trying out the Crane, so leaving this morning with a stomach problem from the food and a 6 hour flight ahead of me, left me quite bitter about wasting my money and my visit.

Unfortunately we experienced a number of issues associated with staff service which really detracted from our stay. Our expectation of the hotel alongside the high cost for the stay were not met due to a poor front desk first check in and ongoing house keeping issues with our room. We had travelled from asia and have been lucky to experience Asian hotel hospitality and this didn’t even come close to matching the warm and positive experiences we have had in the past. A lot of general staff walking round and working on the grounds were excellent but front desk and house keeping caused some unenjoyable moments.

5/5 overall The sketchy men selling coconut cocktails on the private Crane beach was uncomfortable. Everything else was safe. An earlier notice that my card would be charged 12 hours before we left the resort would be nice because I wanted to pay cash for all my room charges. Management took care of it very professionally though.

The Crane is a beautiful gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The suites are huge and lovely! It has a unique colonial element that is sure to please. The ocean view doesn’t disappoint! And neither does the breakfast :) Definitely not my last time there. BRAVO
