The staff are all so friendly, made us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough for us , the food was really nice and the room was beautiful, loved everything about our stay. This will be the place we will book every time we visit Lincoln.

Lovely rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Nice touch with the cookies and cafetiere. Very comfortable nights sleep. Staff very friendly. Food was excellent. Would return.

The property is very much of it's time some access may be challenging. This aspect is put aside by the helpfulness of the staff with luggage etc. The room was spotless and cosy with everything you would need. We had our evening meal there which was equally perfect with an excellent choice of menu and quality of food. This ran over to the breakfast which was just perfect, much the same as the evening there was plenty of excellent choice. We will definitely stay again whenever we are in Lincoln.

Amazing stay. The room was spacious and spotless, the bed gave me the best nights sleep in weeks, despite being over the pub it was really quiet. The staff were friendly and attentive - great breakfast as well. Will certainly be going back

We have stayed at the Duke william several times, the food is fabulous, the staff are friendly, we love the location, the reason we haven't given it 5stars is that the toilet seat in the bathroom was loose and quite dangerous this was not something that had just happened, we were amazed that the cleaner didn't flag this whilst she cleaned the room it could have resulted in an accident.

This is an excellent place, even if a little understaffed on this particular visit. Those there still trying hard, and a lovely little pub with rooms.

Good but could have been better
Really nice hotel in the old part of the city. Near the cathedral and castle. Approx 25 mins walk from the train station, but uphill along Steep Hill. Room comfortable with large double bed. Good quality toiletries provided. Breakfast was not buffet style. You had to order the night before. Choice was a bit limited. Cereal choice was bran flakes or cornflakes, no muesli or granola or fresh fruit or yoghurt. However I asked if they could provide muesli fruit and yoghurt and they did and it was good, particularly the fresh fruit salad, delicious. Disappointed with the toast with the cooked breakfast as it was white sliced! No offer of brown or granary etc. Have had better breakfast elsewhere.
