It was the 26th of December. The room was a bit dark. The place is undergoing renovation. Restaurant is serving in the conference room. Food and service is great!!
I booked the room because of the name. I’ve always heard that name mentioned in relation to Dillard GA. This place is very out dated. I do realize that they are under construction for renovations and updating. So good things hope to come. But I was not impressed and it didn’t live up to what I’d heard.
The pictures they have posted on the site is not how the rooms exactly looked. Needs up dating. You couldn't use the fireplace unless you had the fan on. It was so loud you couldn't enjoy it. Needs new carpet and curtains.

The roon was a little dated but it was clean. Overall, the room was satisfacory.
They have alot of remodeling going on. Had to wait in line to pay for our food about 30 minutes or more. They've went up on the meals there , give you less food and want let you take a doggie bag home. $ 30.oo for dinner and no doggie bag. Want eat there again.
Too bad that the restaurant was closed for restoration.

Everything was clean and room was well prepped for our stay. The decor was very traditional as pictured but everything appeared to be in good condition.
Dillard House is a great place to stay. It was very clean and a nice place to stay for a weekend getaway. The room was large, clean and surprisingly nice quiet place to stay and just relax. The view from the back porch was fantastic. We would definitely stay there again.

Quaint and Peaceful but…
I thought it was a beautiful location, clean room but there is a problem with ants. It’s an older facility that needs some upgrades, including replacing very old carpet but mostly the property needs attention to detail with getting rid of the ant problem. The Restaraunt was inviting and warm but overpriced for type of food. Overall it was a good stay for what we needed, compared to other hotels in this area. This place could be a real gem with a bit of renovation. Stunning location with gorgeous views, set off the main drag it was very quiet and relaxing.
Overall a solid place to stay for the price. I came here as a kid 30 years ago and not much has changed. They definitely need a revamp but it looks like that's happening. Beautiful scenery and great flea markets and shops nearby.
It’s a beautiful, quiet area. I will always highly recommend staying here.

Management and staff were phenomenal and resolved an issue we had. Motel rooms are old and outdated but at least they were extremely clean. The bathroom was tiny and there was no outlet for me to plug in my blow dryer. They did have a smart phone charger pad which was nice. The blinds did not come flush enough to the side so I felt a little uncomfortable and had a hard time falling asleep as I felt like someone could peak in. The restaurant has excellent food but is overpriced.
Great place to stay . I would definitely stay again although I was displeased with their lack of knowledge regarding hotels.com. I reserved this room for my daughter a break(she has a mentally handicapped child and was in need of a break). I paid as I usually do when I reserve the room. When my daughter checked in, the payment at time of reservation, could not be acknowledged by the staff. I had to give a credit/debit card for incidentals which is customary and was assured that I would not be charged. Staff stated they were new to hotels.com but she would get straight. After my daughter checked out and got home, I checked my banking account. The amount of the room was charged again to the debit card that I gave her for incidentals. I called the motel and spoke with Katie. I told her the issue…..she assured me she would look into this and return my call the next day. I never received a call. I had to again call the motel. They never acknowledged their mistake instead saying oh, it was customary and that this was not a real charge. It should be returned to my account within seven days. If it wasn’t a real charge, it wouldn’t be listed on my account as a charge. I’m hoping I get the money back.
