Riverside Cottage (sleeps up to 3 people), close to Mawddach Trail.

Riverside Cottage (Bwthyn ger yr afon in Welsh), is a detached cottage set on the banks of the Gwynant river a few miles from Penmaenpool and Dolgellau in the Snowdonia National Park, with direct access onto the Mawddach Trail. The cottage has its own private parking space(s) outside the entrance to the cottage with its own garden and lawn area which includes a picnic bench overlooking the river. For health and safety please be aware the small river near the property is unfenced.

The cottage itself has a well equipped kitchen including an oven, microwave and dishwasher, and a separate dining/ living room which includes a dining table, couch and a TV with a DVD player. Leading off the dining/ living room is a porch with doors that open out overlooking the river. There are two bedrooms one with two single beds and a TV, and one with one single bed which is accessed through the other bedroom. There is also a bathroom which includes a bath with over head shower. Towels and tea towels are not provided.

The cottage is near many attractions in the Snowdonia National Park including Cader Idris, Snowdon, numerous country walks and cycle trails including Coed Y Brenin. The market town Dolgellau is approximately 3 miles away and includes numerous places to eat and drink as well as shops and a couple of small supermarkets. The village of Penmaenpool which includes a Grade II listed toll bridge and a pub with a restaurant is approximately 1 mile away and can also be accessed by walking or cycling along the Mawddach trail. The cottage is also close to some beautiful beaches on the Welsh coast (approximately 5 miles).
