This city is heaving with surprises, and you'll find a good chunk of them hiding in neighhourhoods like Sindangyuk-tong. One of the best bits of travelling is the people you meet along the way. And with 10,300,000 people calling the capital of South Korea home, there's plenty of opportunities to meet a few new BFFs. To get to Sindangyuk-tong from Gimpo International Airport, catch a taxi, dump your bags in the boot and head 19 kilometres to the east. If you're arriving from central Seoul, you'll need to journey 3 kilometres east.

This city is bursting with glorious things to do, and you'll uncover many of them near Sindangyuk-tong. For a better perspective of this lively city as a whole, visit the nearby neighbourhoods of Sindangil-tong and Hwanghak-tong.

If you're up for seeing some of the highlights in the centre of the city, head to the Korea University and the Sungnyemun Gate. To get an even better feel for your surrounds, also stop at Deoksugung Palace and N Seoul Tower.

One of the indicators of a good performance tends to be how thunderous the applause is when the curtains go down. Come and join in the cheers at the Chongdong Theater, the National Theater, the Seoul Namsan Gugakdang and the Gangbuk Jeongdong Nanta Theatre.

Children are often wonderful travel buddies, particularly if you go to the right attractions! For an exciting family day out, head to COEX Aquarium, Ssamji-gil, the Seoul Animation Center and the Children’s Museum of National Museum of Korea.
