Very relaxing. The staff were so friendly and efficient. The hotel had all the facilities we needed. It's location was ideal for what we wanted. I could sit on their garden terrace for hours looking at the view and garden with a coffee or Pimms and a good book.

A relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. Service in the restaurant was not as efficient as it should have been. I enquired at reception about an event later in the year. No-one had any further i go and said they’d get someone to call on Monday. Hmmmm. Still waiting on that call. Pool was nice and grounds were stunning.

Good location, ideally situated for the Surrey hills. Breakfast format varies depending on how many guests are staying but has everything needed. Room was hot and no air conditioning, although a fan was provided.

Second to none.

The Staff couldn’t do enough to help. Well turned out, polite and engaging. Excellent. Jose in the restaurant is a gem. The lead waitress on our first night made the evening in to a really wonderful occasion.

Room was like a furnace, possibly hot water pipes running under or just the one small window. Bed and bathroom decent. Drink selection good and breakfast was excellent for a buffet. Did see a dead cockroach on the carpet of the main walkway which gave me pause, but by then I was checking out.

The grounds were nice, couldn't find me for check in, but was resolved, paid for a breakfast that i included in my booking, the breakfast was cold, staff said they took cash but prefered card payment as it was easier for them. In general staff only seemed interested in promoting upgrades, information was via scaning a qwerty code were you could download a pdf, not a great selection available at the bar. Rooms ridiculously hot, no means to control the temperature, this was a common theme with all guests, again staff said it was out of their control, siting the historic building as the issue, despite the majority of rooms being in a new build. The drains in the ensuite need cleared as water builds up quickly in the shower and leaked from the basin.

Was disappointed in the room and how hot it was. As it was my birthday I asked for something special to make my two children happy. Our room was basic. We had a voucher for 2 complimentary glasses of Prosecco. I don’t drink Prosecco so asked for a drink for the same value but wasn’t allowed. The children’s menu in the restaurant does not have enough options. We won’t be returning sadly.

Good enough for the money but missing in some aspects. The room was so hot we couldnt sleep even with the fan and the window open. Also, the pool/spa area could really do with a makeover as it was small, dated and dirty. We tried to call reception/housekeeping 6 times throughout the afternoon and no one picked up

We attended a wedding at Wotton House and stayed for 2 days. The place is beautiful and the staff are very attentive. Highly recommend this venue.

Hot day wedding stay.

Lovely room with great service. The only slight negative is the lack of air conditioning in the room which meant it was pretty hot, however that there was a Dyson air cooling machine which helped somewhat. Sevice from the staff was excellent.

Almost perfect

Lovely place with interesting history, beautiful gardens and nice staff. We felt relaxed for most of the time and enjoyed the surrounding area. Unfortunately, they were hosting a wedding during our stay which didn’t really get in the way but the fire alarm went off twice at around 11pm and we had to go to reception to get another left over alarm to be turned off as it was keeping us awake. If you can avoid the weddings it would be a perfect weekend stay.

Noisey!

I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel – a true oasis in the desert of dust bunnies. However, the service left much to be desired. I could have sworn I saw a tumbleweed roll by while waiting for someone at the bar, and trying to get room service was like playing hide and seek with a ghost – I could hear them, but they just wouldn’t pick up the phone! Now, let’s talk about the main event: the corporate party. I wasn't given the heads-up that my peaceful getaway would turn into a live version of 'The Hangover.' Somehow, I found myself directly above the festivities, which quickly escalated from a corporate meeting to a full-blown rave. I’ve been to nightclubs that were less energetic! It’s a wonder anyone could sleep through that cacophony. So, if you’re looking for a restful retreat, perhaps consider a hotel that doesn’t double as a dance floor.

The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel building is beautiful and full of histories. The halls and meeting/functions are decorated with good tastes. We were allocated a room on the top floor, which was unfortunately very stuffy and warm, no central or wall mounted air conditioner other than a stand alone fan/cooler. The dinner was delicious though a bit pricey. The spa facilities are pretty good, but the steam room needs a bit of updating.
