The hotel was fine, met our needs well. What was not fine was how the staff handled the internet outage that left them unable to check us in. The employee let us stand there for 15 minutes without even telling us what was going on, then just said, "sorry, I can access anything. I can't do anything". No apologies, no attempts to explain what was going on, no attempts to figure out a way to get us into our room that we had already paid for, no timelines. It was 9pm and the outage had already been going in for 1.5 hours, and we had 2 small children with us. Then his boss showed up after I insisted he find a solution, and she was less apologetic than him. After another hour she happened to figure out that outdoor code was already printed off and we could have had access to our room all along. When I asked for free breakfast because of the trouble she looked at me like I was crazy.
