Large room with modern bath and friendly staff. Good location and fair pricing. Parking was not close and payment complicated. Nearby hotel was suppose to give us a token but they did not have it.We had an early flight but no coffee or breakfast available except in-room. Elevator does not go to top floor.
The Cliff Townhouse is in a wonderful location overlooking Stephens Green. It's a renovated Georgian house so there are lots of steps - not a problem for me but it's something for others to be aware of.
While I had a fine stay, I expected better based on the online pictures and the price point. The breakfast in the Urchin Bar was average and service was really slow.
I did dine in the restaurant for dinner (sea bream over black ink risotto - yum!) and it was excellent and the service was great there.
Considering the price and other accommodation choices in the area, I'll stay somewhere else in the future.
Lovely place to stay and the breakfast is cooked to perfection,

Problem with leaking toilet highlighted to staff at 6.30pm. Still was not dealt with at 9.30pm when we returned from dinner. Eventually someone came at 9.50pm. Not acceptable service.
I was unable to stay at the hotel due to a flight diversion, then delay, then not making my connection. When trying to cancel my hotel reservation, the staff refused to do so even though I had no control of the situation. I rated everything as unsatisfactory due to the fact that I was not able to stay there.
Lovely hotel in a great location. The Breakfast was really good. Perfect for a city break in Dublin. Will definitely stay again in the future

Disappointed
Disappointed. We were misled about parking even after we rang and checked the day before. Reception staff weren't helpful. For all its stars it lacked the quality. Wont be staying again or recommending....
I really enjoyed my stay at the Cliff townhouse! I was worried because the beds in the photos look small, but my room had a king bed. My room didn’t have a bright pink or blue theme, but it was still pleasantly decorated and comfortable. If I were to book again I would request a room facing St Stephen’s Green. I bet the view is great! This hotel is a converted townhouse, the rooms are either in the fron or in the back (separates by the main stairwell), and we were in the back. The elevator is located in the very back, and if you’re in a room at the fron you might ask the concierge to bring your bags up for you, because you will have to go up some steps even after taking the elevator.
The breakfast was amazing and the staff was great. The hotel uses real keys, so you need to leave it at the desk when you leave. This was only problematic one time, when no one was at the desk upon our return.
I’d definitely book here again! The location is really lovely.

Bedroom door would not lock so I had to be moved to another room. The following morning the right hand knob of the shower came off in my hand and I had to use the shower in another room!
Disappointing.
Close to Grafton Street, and easy entrance to St. Stephen's Green, right across the street. Bus stops just out front for airport shuttle, tour busses, and city travel. Lunch in the restaurant was okay but not exceptional. Breakfast was FANTASTIC!

Disappointed!
The hotel didn’t feel busy, our room was the top floor back of the hotel, looking out to an office block. Cleaners storage room was next to bedroom, a lot of noise and woken early by it. Pigeons outside window from early morning making noise, felt like cleaners and pigeons were staying the night with me!
No great interaction with reception staff, it was my 40th birthday but no conversation about my stay and not made feel special.
We were allowed an earlier check in as our room was ready. As we were travelling with a two year old this was really convenient. The welcome received was friendly and efficient.
Our room (210) was lovely. Nice spacious bed and a pull out bed for the little one which she was very pleased with. The only thing that let the room down was a leaking toilet, which we reported - but nothing was done. With a toddler around it wasn’t ideal and it smelt a little so we had to keep the bathroom door closed. Not great considering the bathroom had no heating so it was pretty chilly in there. Breakfast was nice. Fruit to start with a selection of pastries and a menu to choose from for hot food.
Discounted parking in the local shopping centre which is a few minutes walk away.
