Good location but it was alot further from the main city centre than we were led to believe by the detailed description of the location of the Hotel on the webpage!
The Keavans Port Hotel turned out to be a great choice.
Really nice room, well maintained and clean. The shower room spec wouldn't be out of place in any hotel with a higher star rating.
Bed was huge, clean and very comfortable.
Bar and dining areas are all good - you can even have your meal in an Old Convent - the hotel has incorporated it into the build of this really cool building.
Geographically its a leisurely twenty minute stroll from the fun and mayhem of Temple Bar.
When we go back to Dublin we'll book to stay here again
I stayed at this hotel when I went to see AC/DC on the 17th of August. It was my first time staying here and I would stay here again. The room was beautiful the staff were so friendly. I ate in the Witherspoon Restaurant and the food and service were excellent
We had a great stay. The location is great, by dining and close to town. It is connected to a bar/restaurant however we did not hear any noise even in the courtyard outside our windows. It is a beautiful building, and our room was large and updated! We would definitely stay again.
This hotel is exactly what I was looking for in that it is not a cookie cutter main hotel brand. Everything was very clean and despite its modern amenities, had an old world feel to it.
I would not recommend this hotel if there is someone who has difficulty getting around. Even though there was a lift, there were a lot of doors and steps to get through on each level.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Area was vibrant but not as loud as other parts of city centre.
Everything was excellent from the friendless and helpfulness of staff to service to the room to the location. The only small thing is maybe to let guests know at check in about the help button, we didn’t know what it was initially, the bathroom was dark and pressed it twice. Other than that, everything was excellent
We had a great stay at keavons port. We did have to ask to switch rooms as ours was above the smokers pit and they did leave the windows open when they cleaned the room. Luckily they were able to get us into new rooms without a smoke smell. Tad bit loud in the area however it was conveniently in walking distance of most attractions.
breakfast is abundant, varied and well priced.
no parking available in the building, but they have an agreement with a public parking 10 minuts away with a good discount.
Great location, on a street with a Tesco and other small supermarkets, many restaurants and bars a bit further down the street. Easy 10-15 min walk to Grafton Street on a flat route. 15-20 mins walk to Pearse train station, National Gallery and close to LUAS stops. Great staff who are happy to help with recommendations. Excellent bedroom, a standard double is really nicely decorated with a big bathroom and spotless, very clean. No noise at all from the Wetherspoons pub when you are in the hotel and very safe as to get through to each floor of the hotel you need to scan your room card. Highly recommend it.
The place was clean and had hot water. It was spacious to me and also in a historical building which made it interesting. They were nice helping us get a taxi to the airport when we checked out as well. It is a short walk to st stephens green and st Patrick’s but you are also able to walk to the shops on grafton street as well.
