We had not clean covers on the beds. All gadgets in the room worked properly. Bathroom door can’t close. Dinning room was very full and we didn’t have enough food. Had to eat in the room whatever was available. Good friendly check in and out.

Overall, property was run down. Definitely needs a major facelift. Pictures online made the property look much better than it is. The room itself was decent.

For the purposes of our weekend vacation, the property location was ideal. The sites we wanted to see were within a few minutes drive. We were disappointed with the cleanliness and security. The rug was stained and had sticky substances on it. We noticed the window screen was damaged like someone tried to break in. However, the front desk said it was damaged by previous occupants trying to open them and he replaced a few in other rooms previously. Possible but doubted it in our room. The second night we stayed, we heard someone outside by our vehicle. Luckily, nothing happened to it but we were uneasy and didn't get a good night's sleep. They posted that they were not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damage to personal property. That alone didn't scream secure. The personnel were friendly and seemed hard working but may be a little understaffed. The breakfast was tasty but limited. The furniture and decor is outdated and needs a whole remodeling inside and out plus a new layout with bigger bathrooms. We also had a strong foul odor like sewer backup the first night that thankfully passed after a few minutes.No one came in to clean after our first night's stay either. I truly hope they can update the above items and make this hotel become a five star stay. It's a very ideal location.

Room was okay. Hotel definitely needs updates. The microwave didn't work well. Water from shower leaked out from curtains. Bed was a little hard. Breakfast was cold foods except for toast. The house keeper clearly had mental issues. He would yell randomly while alone in the rooms. And the room across from us had a dog they left alone so we had to listen to it bark for an hour and half. Complained to front desk, not sure they did anything.

Room smelly musty and old smoke smell. The air conditioner was loud and did not smell or sound like a healthy feature. Stain on ceiling..part of bathroom door peeling off..areas of mold in the bathroom. In addition the pillows were like quilting material rolled up-uncomfortable. Breakfast was cold and unimpressive. Thankfully, Eric, at the front desk was kind and efficient!

I loved the sauna and I had a wonderful hot shower with great water pressure. Property is outdated and there is no elevator, however we had a lake view and the staff were so friendly. Busy street, so it is loud, but again, Lake view!!! We only stayed one night, so it was fine for that. Beds were decent comfortable. 3 stars. I would stay there again if needed.

Friendly staff
Location was perfect for our needs. Staff was friendly and allowed us to check in early. Our room was on the third floor and there is no elevator but if you park in the back and enter the second floor then you only have to take the stairs for one floor. My only complaint is that the walls between the rooms allow the noise to filter through. We could hear the tv next door as if it was right in our room.

Property needs work. Smells musty. Stuff falling off the ceiling in the shower. Bathroom door had veneer peeled off. Free breakfast had very few selections and was in a dingy poorly lit room. Wouldn't stay there again.

The Inn is easy to find, has a pleasant view of Lake Superior. It was a convenient location for visiting friends and sight-seeing both at Canal Park and driving up the NorthShore. The lack of having a printer on the business computer was inconvenient. I understand it will be replaced and hope it's available for guests soon.

Hotels are expensive this weekend in Duluth. This hotel isn't pretty on the outside and the parking lot is tight and a bit beat up. But check-in was fast, service was friendly, and there are no issues with my room.
