Hotel looks awful from the outside but rooms were bright and clean. Food very good and very reasonable. Breakfast service was a little unusual and finished rather early
We had a lovely warm welcome and the room and amenities were fantastic. The food was good in the hotel, just a shame the bar wasn't open separately. However the room was really comfortable and clean with nice coffee!
The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only problem were the walls. They were very thin and after a long day all I wanted was to sleep. the room next door woke me up several times.
I was disappointed that there was no non dairy option for either the room tea/coffee service, or the restaurant. Not a single option in the breakfast or dinner menu was suitable for me.
It was suggested that I walk to the nearest shop to buy my own. Not acceptable for the price I paid for the services of the hotel.
I had to walk to Greggs to find suitable food and drink.
All other hotels I have stayed at have modernised to provide options for people with dietary preferences or necessities. This hotel needs to update their menu to bring themselves to the same standard expected as normal elsewhere.
Other than that, all was well. Clean room, check in was slow, but I understand staff were likely busy.
Was a bit apprehensive on sight as not the best look to the frontage. The bedding was nice and a modern very clean bathroom. The food was typical pub grub but nice. Only complaint would be the flooring, a joiner and carpet fitter for a day would vastly improve the very creaky floorboards, but was not disturbed by it once asleep.
Delightful greeting after travelling for 10 hours from Devon! All the staff, especially the cleaning ladies were engaging and smiley!!! Would very much recommend you to anyone visiting the North.

...nice and quite place with very friendly staff...and very nice food for the price. Very best place if u r driving. Also has frequent bus service to edinburgh as well...only 6£ for a return ticket so it's not expensive as well...over all we enjoyed a looot...

Had requested ground floor room. This was not relayed to the hotel. Room was on second floor. Arrived Sunday afternoon. No lift, no Porter. Reception reluctant to ask male staff to help with heavy suitcases
Loved our short stay in the hotel excellent staff over and above for helping and making us feel more than welcome. Unusual in a housing estate but beautiful and clean . Highly recommended
