It's situated 55 kilometres to the north of Dublin, the capital city of Ireland.

Bru na Boinne Visitor Centre is situated 14 kilometres away in Drogheda. This wonderful attraction is well worth the journey.

Newcastle Beach and Sandymount Beach are perfect options if you're searching for somewhere to sit back and unwind.

The relaxing sounds of nature await you at Hill of Slane. It lies just 16 kilometres away, so you won't need to be on the road all day. Slieve Gullion, 35 kilometres away, is one more recommended choice.

Don't forget to pack some green and gold clothes so you can cheer on the local Gaelic football team, the Meath GAA, at Pairc Tailteann. Located 30 kilometres away in Navan, the stadium is also home to the Meath GAA.

Seeking more things to see and do? Head to Collon, 7 kilometres southwest of Dunleer, for Monasterboice and Mellifont Abbey. Alternatively, Ardee is 10 kilometres to the west, and it's here you'll discover Jumping Church and the Ardee Golf Club.
