I booked this property online because it is pet friendly and has free parking and Wi-Fi. I arrived and unpacked my bags and took a shower. And when I took a shower, it flooded the entire room and bathroom to the point of making a small lake.
I went into the lobby and told the man at the desk about the flood. He sent a maintenance man over who pulled a whole bunch of long black hairs out of the drain and left them in the trashcan. Then he told me to go to the front desk and change rooms.
When I arrived at the front desk, the desk clerk told me that the hair that the maintenance man took out of the trash he believes to be my dogs. The funny thing is my dog is a little white with very few light brown spots, and he’s a hypoallergenic Shih Tzu. Not only that, he didn’t take a shower. I have long, dark blonde hair, and I only took one shower and my hair didn’t all fall out.
They literally blamed me for flooding the bathroom when all I did was take one. Then he told me I had to pay a 500 peso pet deposit, even though it was not on my booking information nor did anyone tell me when I registered for my room.
I have never had a more uncomfortable, disrespectful and unprofessional experience and what should’ve been a very simple one night stay while I’m traveling with my very quiet, suite non-shedding dog who doesn’t take showers.
