The staff did a great job and made our stay comfortable. The pool area was clean and enjoyable. We enjoyed the food and the ability walk to a pub nearby for variety.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Checkin was very quick. Upon realising we booked a smaller room by mistake, we were upgraded to a more spacious room without charge. Overnight parking is free for guests. The room was spacious and clean and was serviced daily with clean towels. The temperature was good and complimentary robes were offered to us. The hot water didn’t work in our room on the penultimate day. They offered to change room for us but we declined. Instead, we accepted the offer for us to shower in another room until they had fixed the problem. The Bar and restaurant had a nice chilled atmosphere, although the bar opening time was a little later in the day so it wasn’t possible to order a coffee in the morning but coffee is served in the restaurant with breakfast. The sauna/spa was great too, a perfect way to end a long day sightseeing but can be busy. The gym is small but complete. The location is excellent as it is only a 10 minute taxi drive from the centre which is very pretty and where you can find many restaurants for meals. Sainsbury’s is just next to the station which is also 10 mins drive from the hotel. If you don’t have a car there is a local supermarket just down the road. The airport is just 20mins away in the taxi. All in all, a fantastic 5 day stay with nice staff. I can highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Been many time before, seems they changed there policy for the Christmas period that kids can use the facilities all day so my relaxing spa break had children running around screaming and splashing in the pool. Not the relaxing break I was hoping for, Then our room right near reception was very noisy with children too.

We appreciated the room upgrade and found it spacious with a comfortable Superking bed and good amenities, including a fridge and a large TV and excellent adjustable heating. What let it down was the bathroom. That had no heating at all! Needed at least a heated towel rail. There was a narrow high sided bath with the shower over which wasn't comfortable to use. We didn’t have breakfast or use the bar and restaurant in the evening so cannot comment on those, or indeed the Spa. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and kept the room and public areas to a high standard. Not the hotels fault but found it was pointless trying to sleep much before midnight due to people in the corridor coming back to their rooms who clearly didn’t see the need to keep the noise down.

A Wonderful Stay Marred by One Unfortunate Encounter "Buttergate" We recently stayed at this hotel and found so much to love about it. From the moment we arrived on Friday night, we were greeted by a very pleasant lady at reception who made us feel instantly welcome. Shortly after arriving at our Room the telephone rang, it was the duty manager asking if everything was to your satisfaction, a really nice touch. The Highlights Our room #114 was impressively spacious and spotlessly clean. It was well-stocked with amenities, free bottled water and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The hotel is in a prime spot—very convenient with easy parking and close to many local attractions and amenities. The Breakfast Spread The food itself was delicious. There was a wide selection of just about everything you could ask for to start your day. A Note on Service We had a very disappointing experience on Saturday morning. My wife politely asked an older lady working the breakfast shift where the butter was located. She was met with an incredibly abrupt and rude response: "In the refrigerated area where you would expect it." When my wife tried to explain she had been looking near the jams, the staff member snapped back, "Why would they be next to the jams? They would obviously melt!" It was clear this individual did not want to be there, and her attitude was completely uncalled for hence our 3 star rating otherwise it would be a 5 star
