An amazing, peaceful 4 bedroom Scottish Inn with gourmet dining and a pub…swans on the river outside my window!
I never wanted to leave!
Lovely staff. Comfy bed and bedding.
We chose it because it was a short taxi ride to the airport, but it turned out to be a highlight of our vacation!
Perfect way to end our two week trip to Scotland. Chose to stay here as it is close to airport and wanted a special place for our last night. Our room was like going back in time, beautiful and immaculate, with a small view of the canal. We arrived early had a delicious lunch and relaxed along the canal, watching the long boats go by. Dinner with a view, and fabulous food and staff. Highly recommend! Thank you Bridge Inn!!!
This property did not disappoint. We had a lovely charming room (Burke) on the 2nd floor which overlooked the river (wow). Comfy bed and modern bathroom. Water pressure in sink and shower is strong, nice in the shower! The service was impeccable, everyone very kind and helpful. The food was very satisfying, eating a few times in the restaraunt and once in the pub for pizza, which was AMAZING!! I had the ham hock pizza, thin crust with rich tomato sauce and ground ham….one of the best I’ve had…. Of course, would come again!
Absolutely loved this. The whole property is so quaint with lovely picturesque views. I loved walking on the nearby paths and taking in the beautiful scenery. My room was lovely; the bed so comfortable. Nice touches with the Nespresso machine and cookies.
Had the best fish & chips for dinner and an amazing breakfast. I will definitely come back to Scotland to stay here for longer. I literally didn’t want to leave!
This little Inn is full of charm and character, in a beautiful, quiet setting along a canal. The staff (in the hotel as well as the restaurant) was incredibly warm and helpful. Accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the food was spectacular. This was a great stay.
Well appointed hotel in a stunning location adjacent to the canal, excellent restaurant. If you do not partake in a full Scottish breakfast then the continental offerings were a little light. The room was excellent albeit a little small but suited my stay.

New Year stay
A traditional inn on the Union canal. Check in was simple and friendly. No elevator but only one flight of stairs. Room is on the small side but this is an older property, Bed was comfortable, duvet could be a little larger, it fitted the bed just but was perfectly warm. I like fresh air and the room had an opening window which is becoming all too rare. One minus was that the water supply to the bathtub was wrongly connected.. The hot tap gave out cold water while the cold tap gave out scalding hot water. Forgetting this, I nearly burnt myself once or twice. The bathtub was very deep which allowed for a really pleasant soak but it would have benefitted from a handrail to assist getting out of it. Breakfast had an excellent choice of dishes. Lunch and dinner was pub food. Lively bar with a good atmosphere. Long walks can be had along the canal towpath either side of the Inn.
We absolutely loved this place…
The inn and its’ setting is beautiful. We couldn’t wait to get out for a walk with our dog, Hector, in the morning along the lovely canal… and it was a glorious frosty morning! Bliss!
As soon as we arrived at the inn, we were made so welcome. Our room was gorgeous. Meal Delicious. Bed… sublime… cosy and comfortable, pillows… had best sleep for a long long time. It was So So quiet too! Just perfect. Everything and more that you could possibly need in our room.
But, first and foremost… the staff. I have never met such kind and friendly staff… every one of them. All went out of their way to make us feel valued. You are all lovely. I can’t speak highly enough about you. Nothing was too much trouble and you took an interest in us, really warm and caring. Thank you xxx
We already plan to come back in the spring.
And, hopefully bring more of our family.
Sublime !
