Excellent stay during the final 2 days after our bus tour os Scotland ended. The breakfast was an excellent value and housekeeping was great. Right in the friggin' middle of the Royal Mile surrounded by everything and just 3 doors away from the Department of Magic escape room and alchemy cocktails mix.

No AC, they have a “swamp cooler”, and remember you are near pubs, so it can be quite loud at night, overall a good, clean place and on the royal mile.

This hotel was just off the Royal Mile close to the train station and any shop you can imagine. It was a bit loud, but had a great vibe and a nice bar in the lobby.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Ibis Hunter Square, and both times have been wonderful. It’s well located and had a friendly staff. The breakfast is not included, but the cost of it is certainly better than you’re going to pay at virtually any restaurant in the area. It’s not the most elaborate breakfast, but certainly works. We also loved their plan of giving you a 5 pound credit if you don’t have your room made up. We used the credits for breakfast and some ice cream at the bar.

The hotel was ok but could be better. Very small space in the rooms. The air/ heat controls in the room did not work. The expectation may have been to open the window. Not a good option due to street noise. No air movement and it was stuffy. The bathroom door was out of alignment and hard to close.
